As a writer who spends an absurd amount of time online shopping for a living, I have earned a bit of a reputation amongst my nearest and dearest for discovering the best brands for everything, from fashion to furniture. But I must give credit where credit is due, and my latest brand obsession of the sweater variety is not the result of my own discovery. My bestie is undeniably the chicest, coolest, raddest, and baddest b*tch I know, and she also happens to be an expert on all things cozy,  so when she recommends a sweater brand, it’s as good as gospel. All of this is to say that once she put me on to Naked Cashmere, there was absolutely no going back.

I have a lot of sweaters– cotton, wool, cashmere, you name it– but from the moment I got my hands on my first Naked Cashmere sweater it was the only one I wanted to wear. At this point, my Naked Cashmere sweaters have become a sort of cold weather uniform, because they’re so soft, comfortable, and easy to style. And did I mention timelessly chic?

The other reason I love Naked Cashmere sweaters so much is because they’re really high quality, and with proper care they’ll last for a decade or more. The materials are organic, sustainably sourced, and traceable, so you know what you’re getting and there’s no ambiguity. Sure, they’re pricey, but in the long run they’re cheaper than buying ten lesser-quality sweaters, year after year. It’s a worthwhile investment, because once you put one on, you’ll never want to take it off. Here, shop some of my favorite styles…

The first Naked Cashmere sweater to grace my closet was the black  Tammy Cashmere Crewneck, and if I had unlimited funds I’d buy one in every color. It fits perfectly– the quintessential classic crewneck sweater with just a hint of slouch. It doesn’t cling, it drapes, and it’s incredibly flattering. I’ve worn it with jeans, trousers, leggings, and over dresses, and I love how it feels on my skin. If I was going to buy just one sweater for the season, it would be the Tammy– but good luck choosing between the eight swoon-worthy colors.

Naked Cashmere’s brushed cashmere feels like heaven to touch. It’s hard to imagine anything softer than traditional cashmere, but the Michaela Brushed Cashmere Sweater truly is. I have one of Naked Cashmere’s brushed cashmere turtlenecks, but I’m dying to get my hands on one of these cardigans to wear all year-round. I love the slit pockets and elegant v-neck, that, dare I say, is just a little bit sexy. I would style this with everything from jeans to sweatpants (Naked Cashmere also has gorgeous cashmere joggers) and you can wear it with a shirt underneath or on its own.

Noelle Turtleneck Cashmere Sweater

Turtlenecks are sophisticated by design, but I don’t have very many of them in my closet because I typically hate the feeling of scratchy wool or cotton touching my neck. The Noelle Turtleneck, on the other hand, is anything but itchy. I love the material, but I also love the cut; the relaxed fit is super comfortable, and the cropped hem is particularly flattering for my petite frame. It comes in five neutral colors, and can just as easily be dressed up as it can be worn casually around the house.

I’m too short to wear the Makena Longline Cashmere Cardigan, but I am living vicariously through everyone who can rock it over leggings, a maxi dress, or trousers. It’s lightweight with a breezy open-front cut, and is as close as you can get to wearing a cashmere blanket without cutting arm holes into a cashmere throw. The wide ribbed sleeves make it perfect for layering over other tops of all styles, and it’s yet another style that can be worn all year-round– pair it with slides in the summer, sneakers in the spring, or boots in the wintertime.

If I were asked to conjure the perfect ivory sweater of my dreams, it would be this, the Campbell Ribbed Crewneck Cashmere Sweater. It’s hand finished with a rib texture throughout, which gives it a hint of stretch and that comfy, lived-in feel. The slouchy oversized fit is great for casual wear with jeans, but it also pairs perfectly with your favorite slip dress or maxi skirt. The crew neck cut is classic, and no matter which of the five go-with-everything colors you choose, it will never go out of style.

I love cashmere, and I love a quarter-zip, but it’s rare to find such a chic combination of the two. The Juliette Fitted Cashmere Quarter-Zip clings to the body in all the right ways thanks to its stretchy ribbed knit. It’s cozy and cute, and looks perfect paired with a vest or your  favorite pair of wide leg jeans and heels. Perhaps best of all it’s got thumb holes for chilly days and a playful, sporty touch.

Don’t let the name fool you– Naked Cashmere does silk just as beautifully as it does cashmere, and the Rosalyn Silk Maxi Dress is proof. The dress is made from 100% silk charmeuse, a weave that gives silk garments a smooth, shiny finish and elegant drape. Its tie back ensures the straps stay perfectly in place, and the open back makes this dress a go-to choice for days when you have to dress for a casual day and a more elevated night out. The Rosalyn Silk Maxi Dress comes in a deep dark gray called Pebble and a pale Petal pink, both of which are subtle twists on timeless neutral hues.
