When I was a kid, my mom always wore the cutest matching pajama sets. Every Christmas she’d go to Victoria’s Secret and buy long sleeve pajama sets for herself and for her two sisters. It felt like a rite of passage when I was finally old enough to receive a pair, too, and to this day my mom still gives me a set of pajamas every Christmas Eve. But, at some point between the Christmases of the mid-to-late nineties and just a few years ago, matching pajama sets seemed to go out of style. Instead of wearing adorably chic pajama sets, we all started wearing ratty t-shirts and old sweatpants to bed. When did it happen? Why did it happen? I truly don’t know, but what I do know is that matching pajama sets are back, and I am here for it.
Long sleeve pajama sets are perfect for Christmastime and the like, but we’re headed into spring and it will be summer shortly thereafter, so flannel isn’t at the top of my shopping list. Pajama short sets, however? Yes, please. Sign me up. No, seriously, I want them all. In fact, I love matching pajama short sets for the warm weather months so much that I’ve taken it upon myself to round up ten of my favorites, from silk to cotton, tanks to tees, prints to solids, and all of the sexy-chic sets in between.
This Mint Leopard Short Pajama Set from Carolina K is the summer pajama set of my dreams. The print is fantastically unique, equal parts wild and ornate. It’s made from 100% viscose satin, which is sourced from recycled plant materials mixed with raw materials from forests that are managed responsibly. They are soft and lightweight, with a relaxed, cozy silhouette. They even come with a matching pouch that’s perfect for packing them for your summer vacation.

It’s difficult to express the joy I feel knowing that matching pajama sets are back in style, and shopping for summer sets is going to feel like Christmas in July. Nothing boosts confidence and self-esteem like feeling put together, why shouldn’t that extend to bedtime, too? Wave goodbye to your old t-shirts and ratty sweats, because as far as I’m concerned chic pajama sets are back for good.
