Welcome to Launch Digest, where we bring you the latest and greatest product launches to hit the market across the DTC universe. This week is earnestly groundbreaking. Stunning rugs from the design mind of a toddler, a canned non-alcoholic cocktail that features Graza olive oil as a primary ingredient, new science c/o Ritual that’ll have you sleeping like a baby, and…Wiz Khalifa’s new wellness brand. No, that isn’t a typo. Try not to skip ahead to the spoilers.

Cold Picnic Turns A Toddler’s Artistic Output Into Luminescent Rugs
This past week, Cold Picnic introduced its newest Frames Collection, a line of ridiculously beautiful bamboo silk rugs woven from slightly iridescent bamboo silk. Founded by husband-wife duo Phoebe Sung and Peter Buer, the brand’s new collection is directly inspired by oil crayon-on-paper abstract drawings done by the couple’s young daughter, Freya. Freya seems to be a mini Matisse in training.
The result is a collection of rugs that is remarkably sophisticated: the only childlike sentiment being a deep nostalgia and tenderness in each piece. See for yourself, and good luck trying to browse without making a purchase. A nice reminder that your inner child might just be brilliant.
Bizarre Beverages Please Report To My Inbox
It’s a race to the finish with the beverage launches this week. Aura Bora is getting busy, to say the least…
Have you ever found yourself sipping a martini and thinking: wow, this is great, but I wish it had more olive oil, and less gin? Personally I have not had this experience, but Graza and Aura Bora are betting on a different demographic. These two twisted minds collaborated to launch an Olive Oil Martini, a sparkling non-alcoholic cocktail made with a swirl of yuzu and Graza’s herbaceous Picual Olive Oil. It certainly looks like a great party trick – whether you enjoy it extra virgin or spike it with a splash of gin. And Aura Bora evidently does not sleep, because the brand also launched its Peach Honeysuckle flavor just a few days prior. Thirst, quenched.
Meanwhile, DTC darling Ruby Hibiscus partnered with Adrian Cashmere for an end-of-summer – or endless summer – sip. A bubbly, hibiscus, lemon and lime and white grape juice delight, the Sparkling Pink Lemonade celebrates both brands’ dedication to quality and play. It’s a limited edition bev: stock up now to keep the summer feeling alive for as long as you can hoard your stash.
A New Ritual For Your Beauty Sleep, $25
Is there anything Ritual can’t do? What started out as a first-of-its-kind transparent and traceable multivitamin has since branched out to gut health, skin hydration, prenatal support, protein powder, and now: quality shut-eye. Using a brand new BioSeries technology with a three-in-one capsule design, Ritual’s Sleep supplement is engineered to optimize melatonin release throughout the night to support a natural sleep-wake cycle. While there are 5mg of Melatonin in the capsule in total, the supplement is nested, releasing 1mg instantly to help you fall asleep, 3mg on an extended release to improve your quality of rest, and 1mg for the final few hours before your alarm sounds. Because a good night’s sleep should have you bright and energized – not groggily batting off the effects of a heavy duty sleeping supplement. For the nights your Magnesi-Om needs an extra helping hand.
Orange Wine In A Cylindrical Box. Welcome To The Future! $35
Luxury boxed wine brand Juliet – yes, we have luxury boxed wine and natural boxed wine now, ICYMI, and if you missed it, you’re clearly not reading my columns – just launched a limited edition Orange wine this week. It’s a Northern Rhone varietal, grown in Santa Ynez and made in a low intervention style at a sustainable winery, with 14 days of skin contact for just a touch of funk amidst floral, citrus, and apricot notes. And let me clarify: it isn’t quite boxed wine, but rather, cylindrical wine. 1.5 L of wine in a 100% recyclable “Eco-Magnum” container, for single-handedly saving the environment while you sip! Amazing.
Before You Go…
Don’t go anywhere honey, we’ve still got quite a bit to cover. First and foremost and perhaps most shocking: Wiz Khalifa has launched a “mushroom-forward wellness brand” entitled Mistercap’s. “Mistercap” – apparently Wiz’s pet name, for family and friends – is selling us mushroom grow kits. Why? The answer to that question will continue to perplex scientists for decades to come. 2% of all proceeds from the Oyster, Shiitake, and Lion’s Mane grow kits will go to the Fungi Foundation, a global organization that explores fungi research, education, and conservation. This is cool, but candidly, I’m a Smallhold loyalist, and don’t see much of a reason to buy a grow kit from Mistercap’s when I could support a company that has made a mission of a brighter mycelial future for years.
Moon Juice launched mini sticks ($35) of its legendary Magnesi-Om, Ting, and Mini Dew potions, so you’ll never have to go anywhere without your arsenal of minerals for better sleep, energy, and hydration.
Last but most certainly not least, Spring & Mulberry just dropped a limited-edition bar in collaboration with Counter Culture ($15). Coffee and chocolate? Say no more (but I’ll say a little more, because it gets better). Rich decaf coffee from Counter Culture meets a slice of rich banana meets Spring & Mulberry’s classic date-sweetened dark chocolate meets your new favorite AM or PM treat. It’s decaf; it won’t disrupt your Circadian rhythm.
