Welcome to Launch Digest, where we bring you the latest and greatest product launches to hit the market across the DTC universe. I’ll keep it real with you: this week is completely random. Something about NYFW has derailed the plot, but I’m rolling with it. Between you and me, it might be because we’re expecting some exciting launches next week…
Strawberry beer, the fragrance launch that has me head over heels, and The BootsTM of the season. Let’s chat.

We Need To Talk About Liis
I’m a scent loyalist. When I find a fragrance that works with my skin, pheromones, and holistic ineffable vibe, I do not stray. Adultery is a sin! So if an Eau De Parfum catches my eye (or rather, my nose), it’s something special. Liis has got that je ne sais quois. Made with high-quality ingredients and natural grain alcohol, and made without any preservatives, dyes, phthalates, or sulfates, Liis is not anything you’d expect from a non-toxic, “conscious,” unisex fragrance. It’s wildly better.
The brand launched its Ethereal Wave ($165) scent last month, which earned me not one but three separate inquiries from strangers — my favorite kind — begging for the name of my perfume. With notes of Bergamot, Cardamom, and Black and White Teas, it’ll have you drifting in a cloud of “Oh my god, who smells so amazing?” Grab the Discovery Set ($42), and you’ll learn (as I did, empirically, because I’m a scientist) that it’ll be impossible to decide on a favorite. This is existentially challenging if you crave the stability of a signature fragrance. But there are worse fates than smelling fabulous and slightly different every day.
(For the record, a man literally chased me down the street to ask for the name of my fragrance when I was testing the Bo scent. Do what you will with this information.)
EADEM Is Transforming The Skincare Landscape
Have we discussed EADEM yet? On a mission to redefine beauty standards, EADEM uses Smart MelaninTM Beauty, a first-of-its-kind technology made by women of color chemists and tested on a range of skin shades, to create a line that’s inclusive, clean, and actually made to care for skin of color. Each product combines natural botanicals and science-backed active ingredients for the best of both worlds, in beautiful bottles and bags you’ll be eager to display on your bathroom shelf.
Or, this week, in your weekender bag. EADEM just launched its Bare-Skin Confidence Trio ($45), complete with mini versions of their best-selling Dew Dream Hydrating Cleansing Balm, Milk Marvel Dark Spot Serum, and Cloud Cushion Brightening Moisturizer. It’s perfect on several levels: for your next weekend trip, a birthday gift with a fab unboxing experience, or trying out EADEM for the first time.
Alohas Continues To Make Dream Shoes For Dream Girls
Sustainable footwear brand Alohas does it right every season. The label’s newest Ride Or Die collection could comprise your entire fall footwear vibe (it surely checks the boxes on mine): perfect ballet flats, knee highs that are very 90s Prada, and — if I may be so bold — The Boots of the season. These slingbacks are also a major rising star. Alohas rewards your support of sustainable fashion: pre-order anything from the collection now, and you’ll get a 30% price discount. Nothing makes me feel more like a billionaire than when a brand discounts its New Arrivals section. This is advanced economics; keep up.
For Your Pantry
Plant-based creamery Miyoko’s just introduced a line of tantalizing Plant Milk Cheese Spreads, made from a rich, creamy base of organic cultured cashew milk and transformed into Classic Chive, Garlic Herb, Cheddar, and Sundried Tomato flavors completely free of soy, palm oil, and weird additives. Keep it simple as your new favorite dip, or use these spreads to elevate your at-home vegan chef game.
There’s a new loose leaf tea on the block. Alaya Tea, sourced directly from regenerative Indian farms and thoughtfully bundled in 100% compostable packaging, is at the forefront of a new standard for organic and biodynamic tea. Inspired by the founders’ connection to India’s Northeast, Alaya Tea is dedicated to cultivating respect and support for the communities and agricultural practices around small farmers and tea estates. This beautiful ethos meets some seriously beautiful teas. I’ve got my eye on the Hibiscus and Sweet Fennel + Mint. There’s something for everyone.
If You’re In A New York State Of Mind
I may have my feet firmly planted on LA ground, but I’ve got eyes on both coasts. And if you happen to be in New York, there are treats in store:
Oishii, the vertical farm behind highly coveted Japanese Omakase berries (and equally coveted collabs with Brightland and west~bourne) partnered with NY-based Grimm Artisanal Ales to launch a limited edition Oishii Koyo Berry Beer earlier this week. I’m hearing it’s sweet, tart, and spontaneously sour – and only available to taste at Grimm’s Williamsburg taproom.
Brightland just wrapped a limited collaboration with Librae Bakery in the East Village, featuring a Cardamom & Coffee soft serve drizzled with Brightland’s Alive oil. My sources say this only lasted for the month of August, but who’s to stop you from BYOO (Bringing Your Own Oil)? If you see me doing this at an LA soft serve space, mind your business.
Happy shopping. Email me directly – zoe@thequalityedit.com – with any launches you’d like to see in the spotlight, or DM us over @thequalityedit.
