Welcome to Launch Digest, where we bring you the latest and greatest product launches to hit the market across the DTC universe. This week, jello is getting facial reconstructive surgery; the collaborations continue in endless permutations; and Gwyneth works her way into your makeup routine. Let’s digest.

Sometimes SPF is a bummer to layer over makeup because it pills or leaves a white cast. But this one, developed by a legendary Florida-based dermatologist, has a cult following for a reason: it glides on smoothly and is packed with Ectoin, a hydrating active that gives skin a luminous glow that makes for the best “last step.”

Jello Gets A Sexy New Name (And A Facelift)
It’s no groundbreaking observation that beauty has been edging into your kitchen. Whether you’re popping Moon Juice’s SuperHair capsules like candy or you’re a dedicated Agent Nateur superfan, we’re well aware that a truly radiant, blemish-free, supple complexion starts from within. We’ve learned that the Omegas in tinned fish and our favorite olive oil are essential building blocks for looking younger, longer. And while most of us have gotten on the collagen bandwagon, the original gelatinous girl, Jello, hasn’t had a major resurgence. Until now.
Gelée is giving jello a new name (and face, and body, and spirit). Chef Zoe Messinger founded Gelée on a mission to marry creativity, beauty, and indulgence with wellness – proving that play and health are not mutually exclusive categories. Crafted from non-GMO whole fruits, naturally occurring pre and probiotics, and collagen-rich gelatin, Gelée is made to be mixed at home and infused with your creative touch. Just add hot water, let it set, and mold it into any shape and purpose you can dream up, whether cubed in your morning parfait, added to an architectural cheese plate, or made into mini marbles for a summer spritz. The brand is launching with summer-perfect flavors like Piña Coco, Guava Nectar, and Passionfruit, but my sources tell me these are just the beginning of many more to come. Pre-orders are live today, with official launch slated for early August.
Relationship Status: Partnered
But ethically non-monogamous? Brands continue to mix and match in different permutations each week; polyamory is the name of the game. Dr. Loretta partnered with LESET to launch the only thing I want to be packing on any summer vacation: The Sunset, featuring LESET’s Yoko oversized button down with a chest pocket conveniently sized (and embroidered, so that you’ll never forget your SPF) to house the Dr. Loretta Universal Glow Mineral Sunscreen. Who needs a beach bag when you have a shirt pocket?
Aura Bora — a brand that typically needs no excuse or collaborative event to launch an insane flavor, but does even better in partnership — teamed up with P.F. Candle to launch a Watermelon Chili sparkling water inspired by the candle brand’s archive scent. Finally, you can taste a candle. Think: a warm picnic at summer sleep-away camp, both in olfaction and taste. And why think when you can experience for yourself?
Tata Harper and Muuñ created a custom green straw bag stocked with the skincare label’s best-selling products: the Regenerating Cleanser, Hydrating Floral Essence, and Water Lock Moisturizer. It’s the ideal bundle for those who love both skincare and accessories (can you love one and not the other? I’m just a girl), and if you needed a third reason to make it yours, a percentage of all proceeds will support environmental conservation and women’s empowerment initiatives.
Anna October x J. Crew 1.0 was such a triumph, we’ve been blessed with a reprise. The second collaborative collection is a gift for guests attending weddings during the second half of summer, and a “what could’ve been” fantasy for those who are just missing the window of opportunity. (I’m not bitter.)
RMS Beauty got busy with Sweet Laurel to celebrate the launch of their new Talc-free Hydra Setting Powder with a “Say Yes To Cake, No To Cakey” cosmetic pouch and a co-branded, grain-free Chocolate Cake Mix. Aliens will study that sentence one day in an attempt to understand the state of humanity in 2024.
Gwyneth Tackles Mascara, Comme Si Gets Sporty, And Ghia Elevates Water
It’s a big week for brands trying out new things. goop (lowercase) launched a mascara. In true Gwyneth fashion, it’s not just any mascara: it’s a FeatherLash Lifting Serum Mascara, not only formulated with clean ingredients, but also with a biotin tripeptide B5 complex (I will never ask you to say that three times fast because I’m no sadist) and a unique brush to build lash length, volume, and strength – both instantly and over time.
Comme Si – the only brand that could compel me to spend $40 on a pair of socks based on the sheer power of their styled campaigns – launched a Cycling Sock made from Q-SKIN, a high-performance yarn engineered to keep your feet dry, fresh, and odor-free. GORP-core is so 2022, catch me cycling into the sunset.
Ghia is branching into bottle service. Snag the brand’s BPA-free Nalgene to keep you hydrated from morning to apero.
Before You Go…
Just a few sales and sparkly objects to upgrade your life. Have you ever experienced tinned fish scarcity mentality? Not sure when you’ll next experience the best flavors of Spain or Portugal in your home? We’ve all been there. Tinned fish repository Lata has devised a Monthly Discovery Box, which curates a selection of four premium tinned seafood products so you’ll never again lie awake contemplating how to secure your gourmet pickled tuna pate.
Deiji Studios’ FW24 collection delivers the easy, breezy, summer cotton I know and love with new and unexpected feminine details, like twin bows, oceanic prints, and ruffled side seams.
The Tory Burch sale is very much on, with an extra 25% off already excellent prices. Breeze past the accessories and focus your attention on sweater dresses, sporty numbers, and very good skirts that are too good not to impulse purchase. The SSENSE discounts are as steep as they’re going to get and I really mean it this time. (I think.) (The SSENSE sales are becoming notoriously unending and there is nothing I can do about it.)
