Salty, Spiced, And Everything Nice
I have a long-time crush on Smallhold, the brand building a (literal) mycelial network of organic urban mushroom farms and pioneering the future of sustainable food and agriculture. And I think it might be love: Smallhold achieved Certified B Corporation last week, marking a major milestone not just for the company, but also for an era of mushroom-driven positive impact. (If you’d like to learn more about what exactly Smallhold is up to, you might revisit our interview with founder Andrew Carter.)
But don’t worry, they’re not resting on any well-earned laurels. On Tuesday, Smallhold introduced the Mushroom Rub Trio ($29), a limited batch release of flavor-packed seasonings crafted with the brand’s organic Lion’s Mane, Oyster, and Trumpet mushrooms. Emphasis on limited batch – there are only 250 of these trios, and they’re sure to fly fast. Each seasoning is an ode to Smallhold’s mushroom farms in Brooklyn, Los Angeles, and Austin, and will take your grilling, roasting, and garnish game to the next level. The mushrooms aren’t psychedelic (yet), but these flavors are.
In other seasoning news, Jacobsen Salt Co. just launched the House Special Seasoning ($12) and Italian Seasoning ($9.50). Both seasonings upgrade just about everything with an umami, salty punch, and are extra perfect with grilled vegetables, roasted potatoes, and fried chicken, or sprinkled on top of your favorite pizza, focaccia, or produce-centric salad. Summer diet and dinner party essentials, settled.
Speaking Of Summer: Forah Gets Your Glow On, $72
Forah, the latest suncare brand to work its way into my daily routine with its light and hydrating Mineral Sunscreen ($47), just dropped the Dayglow Oil Serum ($72), designed to brighten and moisturize while also reducing the visible effects of sun damage. Packed with potent antioxidants via vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, and omegas 3, 6, 7, and 9, the serum is formulated to combat free radicals, which are known to damage skin cells (and cause fine lines, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation). It also strengthens the skin barrier and improves moisture retention, all with the help of naturally nourishing ingredients like Raspberry Seed, Prickly Pear, Tamanu Seed, and Carrot Seed Oils. Sophie Lou Jacobsen Continues To Bait My Glassware Addiction, from $110
Is there anything better than beautiful artisan glassware? That’s a rhetorical question, I have my answer. Sophie Lou Jacobsen, the artist designing vases and rippled glasses that will make your kitchen cabinet double as a gallery of beauty and delight, just debuted her latest Fritter Collection (from $110). Originally designed in 2021 from molten glass, this new Fritter iteration translates the original method into borosilicate glass for a larger-scale production that still feels (and looks) remarkably one-of-a-kind. For mixing and serving your favorite Negroni or Ghia Agrodolce.

And A Few More Things…
Speaking of glowing, Saie’s cult-favorite Sunglow drops ($28) are back in a “super limited” quantity. This is a scarcity mindset fear-mongering tactic, and unfortunately it’s working. Get your glow before it’s gone, girl.
Honey Mama’s introduced its latest seasonal bar, Lemon Blueberry Blonde Truffle ($62 per 12-pack), and you’ll be reordering your supply before you can say that flavor name three times fast. (My pro-tip: put your Honey Mama’s in the freezer, sing my praises later.)
Monday Swimwear, the makers of my favorite black bikini bar none, just debuted their Violet Crinkle collection (from $56). It’s Malibu Barbie, but make it subtle, whimsical, and chic. Saint Jane Beauty collaborated with Favorite Daughter for a Lip Oil Duo ($50) that’ll hydrate lips while delivering a hint of hue – ideal for layering over your favorite lip or liner.
