Welcome to Launch Digest, where we bring you the latest and greatest product launches to hit the market across the DTC universe. Missed you last week, although I hope you did some extracurricular reading off your computer and near a body of water. Since we’ve last spoken, summer has only gotten hotter — lucky for us both, many of this week’s launches are engineered to keep you cool with minimal effort in the kitchen. And also: tinned fish and tennis bracelets, the secret to nourished hair in the summertime, and launches that made me think it was April 1.

For summer nights when you want a bit more polish, use this frizz-fighting milk before your blow out or even as a second day refresher. If you’re lucky enough to get your hands on this serum (it’s known to be constantly sold out), keep it on hand for times when you want a smoother, more defined look. And the pretty bottle makes it display-worthy to boot.

For Getting Your California Fix In The Hamptons
Is there anything Flamingo Estate launches that isn’t as beautiful as it is delicious? Rhetorical question, obviously. The LA-based garden, produce, and pantry essentials empire just reopened its Inconvenience Store in East Hampton with the help of Mytheresa and Porsche. The pop-up prioritizes FUN, with a railway racetrack, cars from Porsche, and a collection of founder Richard Christiansen’s favorite products “that are a pain in the ass to grow and make,” in his own words. That slow, time-honored approach to production yields some very special delights for your pantry, like a June Taylor Strawberry Rhubarb Conserve; Black Pepper & Balsamic Strawberry Fruit Snacks (made with Harry’s Berries, of course); California Native Mountain Wildflower Honey; and so many other permutations of enchanting descriptors. If you, like me, have no means of getting to the Hamptons anytime soon, shop the curated bundles online. The only thing you’d have to commute for are, ironically, these natural car fragrances made from Flamingo Estate’s three best-selling summer candles. And they’re probably worth the trip.

Launches You Can Drink All Summer Long
All summer might be a deceptive phrase — some of these are limited-edition, of course. Personally I believe that Erewhon has a smoothie writers’ room of sorts that operates at all hours of the day and night. This month, they launched two collaborative beverages: one with fashion entrepreneurs Francesca Aiello and Matilda Djerf (a collab within a collab), and another with UGG as an homage to a specific shoe made by the brand. The Frankie & Djerf Banana Cream Shake is, realistically, an $18 dessert, made with MALK’s gum, oil, and filler-free Almond Milk, Agent Nateur Collagen, and a slew of delicious add-ins, like coconut cream, maple syrup, cinnamon, dates, and even Erewhon’s Pie Crust. A portion of proceeds are also going directly to Best Friends Animal Society. (An interesting move, considering the shake does use animal parts as a main ingredient. I love collagen, but something’s amiss with the branding here.)
Meanwhile, with UGG, the grocer spun up a tonic that boasts a relatively similar flavor profile, blending almond milk, coconut milk, banana, tahini, peanut butter, cinnamon, collagen, and a few other dashes of salt and sweetness. You can also purchase an UGG Tazz to match your tonic, if you were concerned about color clashing. (It’s unclear whether these specific Erewhon-emblazoned slippers are available for purchase.)
After you’ve primed your system with some premium collagen milkshakes, crack open Sipwell Wine Co.’s Go Getter, a new chilled red (a blend of Barbera and Viognier) made lightly bubbly with Champagne yeast and zero added sugar. Pairs well with pizza nights, picnics, and good company.
T-Shirts, Tinned Fish, And Diamonds – Oh My
This week, the disparate brand collabs meet at the intersection between fashion, fine jewelry, and food. Fishwife and Lisa Says Gah! launched an Aperitivo by the Sea collection on Wednesday, featuring a tee, nail art stickers, jewelry, and a limited-edition LSG-ified smoked salmon. Magnolia Bakery and STUDIOCULT partnered on an array of jewelry pieces that draw inspiration from the Bakery’s daisy iconography. Each piece is whimsical, playful, and the perfect gift for a die-hard MB fan.
Tennis is not a trend, it’s a lifestyle. Kinn Studio agrees, and just launched a collaborative capsule with Sunset Tennis Club to prove it. Shop (really) adorable tennis-ball-hued emerald and diamond huggies; a pearl racquet charm; and, of course, a tennis bracelet to blind your opponents.
Launches For When You Really Don’t Want To Turn On Your Oven
When it’s 90 degrees – as it is now in Los Angeles and New York, at least – it’s difficult to summon the courage to cook. In the interest of making our lives better, allow me to share some launches (and brand discoveries) to make eating in the heat a little less arduous. New York-based Juice Generation just launched Gelato, the first-ever “cold-pressed gelato” crafted from the brand’s nutrient-rich juices. If you don’t live in New York, fear not – you can order a pint of green juice (or watermelon-dragon fruit, or carrot-apple-beet) gelato to your doorstep. The ingredients are fantastic and, after trying, I’m not sure I’ll make it through the summer without at least one pint in my freezer at all times.
But you can’t live on gelato (maybe). Afia Mediterranean has your protein needs covered. Heat up some naturally gluten-free and vegan falafel or fully assembled bowls, and forget about making anything from scratch. You’re busy, and it’s hot.
For Luscious, Lengthy Hair – Even After Long Days Out In The Sun
While you might have your skin protection covered, what are you doing to take care of your hair after hours of drying it out in the sun? Might I suggest ROZ’s Milk Hair Serum or Willow Glen Treatment Oil? Use the Oil after a long day at the beach, and the Serum for daily smoothing and strengthening.
Don’t forget that true hair health begins within. HUM Nutrition just launched the Hair Strong Capsule, clinically tested to improve hair strength and quicken growth with biotin, folic acid, Fo-ti, PABA, B12, and Zinc. Unlike some other hair supplements on the market, you only need one capsule a day. Keep it simple; it’s summer and you have enough on your mind, like packing the perfect beach bag and working hard on your tan.

Launches That Made Me Check My Calendar To Be Sure It Wasn’t April 1
Baked by Melissa partnered with Claussen Pickles (because it’s National Pickle Month, allegedly) on a limited-edition Pickle Cupcake. This scares me, but maybe you’re brave. Bearaby and Shake Shack invented a french fry-shaped body pillow. Yes, we’re well into July; no, it isn’t April Fool’s Day.
Happy shopping. Email me directly – zoe@thequalityedit.com – with any launches you’d like to see in the spotlight, or DM us over @thequalityedit.
