Welcome to Launch Digest, where we bring you the latest and greatest product launches to hit the market across the DTC universe. It is, in fact, 2024. Sit with this for a second, and let the launches wash over you (literally – starting with some shower luxuries that celebrate the olfactory ecstasy of the morning after a heavy rain).

Consummate 2024 By Getting Naked With Flamingo Estate
If you’re anything like me, you might rush outside after a California rain to inhale the intoxicating, alchemical scent of soil, water, eucalyptus, and pine. Richard Christiansen, the mastermind behind Flamingo Estate, is a kindred spirit. On the first of each year, Flamingo Estate launches a limited batch of Petrichor soaps and candles, scented with Myrhh, Amber, Vetiver, Sage, and Eucalptyus. The Soap Brick ($45), which could easily camouflage into a rain-soaked cliffside, is handmade with meticulously sourced Chaga Mushrooms, Kelp, olive oil from Ojai, and Babassu Oil from Brazil – the latter of which is harvested by indigenous communities who extract Babassu to protect the trees (which would otherwise be destroyed by logging). The Candle ($115) smells like Flamingo Estate’s lush gardens and grounds the morning after a heavy rain. For heaven-scented rituals that celebrate the Earth, in spirit and practice. Sure to sell out by tonight, if they haven’t already.
Tekla And Magniberg: Sisters, Not Twins
Tekla and Magniberg are both dueling to get into your bedroom – but the boudoir seems to be big enough for the both of them. Tekla for the Copenhagen-curious, Magniberg for your Stockholm predilections.
Magniberg’s new Rodeo collection, a capsule of plaid bedding in vibrant pink, deep green, and bright blue hues, plays on a boyish boarding school aesthetic. For the man who doesn’t have a bedframe, but does have taste.
Meanwhile, Tekla’s latest Winter Collection proves that the Danes can do no wrong when it comes to seasonal color permutations. Organic cotton towels, bathrobes, and bath mats get a wintry refresh in fluffy shades of pinks, icy blues, and serene sand for every cool-weather mood. Tekla’s always-immaculate lookbook for the season suggests your robe will probably look best in a light wood sauna somewhere in Denmark.
Start The Year With Quality Pantry Essentials
Perhaps you spent the holidays indulging in meals out with friends and family – or maybe you exhausted your own arsenal of pantry essentials by preparing beautiful meals for the ones you love. Either way, your kitchen likely needs a refresh. Welcome in a new, quality year with some upgraded pantry essentials from Frankies 457. The brand’s organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil is an instant classic, made with Nocellara del Belice olives grown and harvested in Selinute, Sicily, for a fruity, nutty, and bright flavor profile – stock up on a liter for $35.
I’d be remiss not to talk about the brand’s newest launches (it is the premise of my column, after all): a smooth and spicy Calabrian Chili Oil that’s a must-drizzle on pasta and pizza, and six variations of artisanal pasta, from Busiate to Pappardelle, made from ancient grains in Italy.
May This Be Your (Complexion’s) Year
While I regularly clean out my closet, it’s rare that I comb through baskets of expired or long-forgotten cleansers, moisturizers, and serums – ghosts of ten-step skincare routines past. Let this be the year you finally pare down and refine your bathroom cabinet (and please, donate those unused and still perfectly perfect products).
Why not start with French It-Girl skincare brand Typology? (Think: The Ordinary, but vegan, natural, and en francais, with chic packaging to prove it). The brand’s latest launch, a Repairing Cica-Balm ($22), relieves irritation and helps to rebuild your skin barrier – your antidote to harsh winter winds and seasonal dryness. While you’re there, you might use the brand’s dermatologist-approved Diagnostic test to dial in a complete routine, from resurfacing masks to lip peels. C’est parfait, non? (Tackling French in 2024, among other things.)
Before You Go…
While I hope we’ve left all detox and diet-oriented resolutions behind in the early 2000s, some January intentions are classics for a reason. Perhaps you’re a little like me, and revel in the delight of selecting a new journal or calendar for a version of yourself that is supremely organized and doesn’t forget a thing. Peruse ban.do for playful, youthful planners that will thrill your inner child; or Papier for monogrammed and leather numbers that will magically materialize your expert time management and scheduling aspirations.
Dipping your toe into the sober curious pool? Join the club! It’s fun over here, and I’m petitioning that we leave the word “mocktail” in 2023. That being said, OLIPOP just launched a Mocktail Starter Kit ($35), featuring the brand’s favorite flavors for mixing up something as effervescent as your evening plans. Splurge on Ghia’s Dry January Pack ($99) for spritzes that’ll convince you to keep with your good habit through February. And honey, it’s 2024, the list goes on: AVEC’s collaboration with Yes! Apples ($36) will have you hooked on a spiced cider type beat; Ruby’s tart and refreshing hibiscus soda will get pretty close to scratching your itch for a dry Lambrusco.
