For The Parisian It-Girl Vacationing In Silverlake
Last week, Clare V. and MOTHER Denim launched a collaborative capsule collection that reads like a love letter to Los Angeles, filtered through the lens of Clare V.’s French-leaning aesthetic. Think: denim pantsuits ($320), a breezy oversized button up ($315), and dainty bohemian accessories ($345) for the Parisian girl on an expedition from Laurel Canyon to Malibu. If you need more than the charming and well-styled lookbook to convince you to follow through on a purchase, $20,000 from the collaboration is going to the Downtown Women’s Center to fund housing, wellness, employment, and advocacy for unhoused women in the greater Los Angeles area.

Designer Beauty, From Prada To Byredo
If a week goes by without a beauty launch, a la a tree falling in a forest with nobody to hear it, has the week even passed at all? Sorry, I’m getting philosophical in 2024. Fortunately for us, we have not one but three beauty launches to discuss. Time continues to turn on.
Yesterday, Kosas added BB Burst ($38) to its Tinted Skincare Lineup, a clean, tinted gel cream that delivers a hydrating burst of skincare along with light, buildable coverage in 24 shades for finding your perfect complexion fit. Formulated with Copper Peptides, Zinc Oxide, and a few other complicated skincare superheroes to plump, firm, and support a healthy skin barrier, the cream does the job of your moisturizer and your makeup – the stuff of streamlined skincare dreams. Adding to cart.
Prada Beauty made its Nordstrom debut this month, and I’m dying to get my hands on some face cream ($315) and eau de parfum ($180), if only for the sake of the gorgeous vessels in which they are housed. Nearly one-hundred five-star reviews on the $50 matte lipstick are enough to convince me that these are more than just shiny objects – they’ve got beauty on the inside, too.
Did everyone else know that Byredo does makeup? Obviously I’m embarrassingly late to the party, but maybe that means a few of you are unaware, too. Let’s grow and learn together, okay? The brand’s Liquid Lipstick ($50) is new, at least, with an array of ten different highly-pigmented shades just in time for all the kissing you’ll be doing this month. I highly suggest reading the product description for some inspiring prose regarding “the enduring intimacy of the haptic sense” – kudos to the Byredo copywriter.

D.S. & Durga Offers A Fragrance Pairing With Your Nut Milk Of Choice
D.S. & Durga recently launched both Peanut and Pistachio eau de parfums, and I have nothing to say aside from noting that they exist and I would like to know what they smell like. Allegedly, the Pistachio scent gives top notes of pistachio and cardamom, a heart of roasted almond, and base notes of patchouli and vanilla creme. Sounds truly delicious, best spritzed while sipping on a pistachio latté. The Peanut fragrance is exclusively described as giving notes of peanuts. When will someone invent scratch and sniff for our computers so that I don’t have to spend $250 to know if I’ll enjoy a given olfactory experience? I’m just the one with the ideas, let’s get a scientist on the line.

Dry January might be over, but hydration is forever. Local Weather is the latest (100% aluminum, fully recyclable) bottle to catch my eye, packed with electrolytes, vitamins, nootropics, and adaptogens, in flavors that will transport you to summer. Fruit Punch lovers, rejoice.
Jacquemus and Repetto collaborated on a timeless, androgynous Oxford – which, if you ask me, will soon replace the ballet flat mania. The best part about both Oxfords and Ballerinas is that neither ever go out of style – it’s only the cultural fanfare that shifts. Choose between a square toe for a baroque feel, and a rounded iteration that gives ballet-teacher-who-takes-herself-very-seriously (in the best way – if you know, you know).
Wooden Spoon Herbs re-launched its Rose Cocoa ($19), a limited collab with Diaspora Co. that just makes sense for Feburary – it’s infused with red rose petals and Shatavari to support your libido, fertility, and stress response.

Janessa Leone is running an end of season sale, and the prices are GOOD. While $267 for chic sun protection might feel steep, $97 feels far more justifiable. I’ll save you the trouble of searching and reveal that some iterations of the iconic straw bucket are on sale.
Hereu’s sale is equally tempting, with (in my opinion THE most beautiful, most durable) Italian and Spanish leather loafers, boots, and bags for half of the price. This is serious business, waste no time, and take it from me, written while wearing these loafers for the millionth time this year: you will not regret a Hereu purchase.
Is it still ski season? I wouldn’t know, as I’ve skied a sum total of once in my life, but I’m hearing great things about Yardsale’s P1 Poles ($139), engineered with magnetic technology and a built-in GoPro for an effortless and adventurous feel.
