Welcome to Launch Digest, where we bring you the latest and greatest product launches to hit the market across the DTC universe. This week feels light on the launches, but that’s only in comparison to the surrounding holiday-panic pace, with brands drilling down on purchase-by dates to ensure your gifts are under a tree by Christmas Eve. Personally, I’m more compelled by an exfoliating and moisturizing set that’ll take care of dry winter skin, and a new hair gloss that promises to revive dull winter locks. I won’t gatekeep a thing.

Smallhold Launches Your New Pantry Must-Have – After Two Years In The Making
The brand on a mission to build a mycelial network of mushroom farms – everywhere, even in Brooklyn and LA – just unveiled a Mushroom Pesto made from its own organic mushrooms. The B-Corp Certified company dreamt up the Pesto as a means to minimize waste, using dehydrated trimmings and imperfect mushrooms cooked down with roasted aromatics, balsamic vinegar, and brightening spices in oil. Spread it on a sandwich, whisk it into a sauce, use it to simmer anything, or keep it simple and throw it in your pasta for a rich, umami, mushroomy kick. If you snag some before it sells out, that is.
Is Your Skin Screaming For Some TLC?
Answer the call, why don’t you? I have not one but two suggestions for your cracked, dry, depressed winter skin. (I speak freely, not judgmentally, because mine needs help, too.) NERRA, inspired by ancient bathing practices of the Mediterranean, just launched this week with The Body Cleansing Ritual ($175), a four-step at-home exfoliation routine that’s designed to reveal a healthier skin layer without disrupting your skin’s pH or microbiome. The set comes with a pre-exfoliating Foam, a Body Glove made from biodegradable plant viscose, a pink clay Body Wash, and a Dry Body Oil made from a combination of olive and argan oils.
If you’re looking for something hydrating and firming, Iota’s Supermatcha Body Lotion ($35) – which sold out within the first four hours of its original launch – is re-stocked and ready to impress. Made from 16 (yes, sixteen) vitamins and minerals from superfoods like Matcha, Snow Mushroom, and face-grade actives like Niacinamide, it’s like nothing your skin has ever experienced before. Treat your body like you would your ten-step facial routine. Show her some respect!
Your Chapped Winter Lips Need A Vacation
Are your lips wildly chapped? Just me? Vacation might have the solution. Last week, the nostalgic sunscreen brand launched a Chardonnay Lip Oil with SPF 30 ($16) – what they’re deeming “the champagne of lip sunscreen.” Formulated to soften like a lip mask, shine like an oil, and plump like a gloss, you’ll be dying to apply your sexy sun protection as often as possible. The sun still shines in Winter (especially in Los Angeles) and it doesn’t hurt to have a go-to lip gloss that works doubletime as a sunguard. Oh, and it’s giving notes of caramel and vanilla, for maximum self-care and kissability.
OUAI-VE Goodbye To Dry Winter Hair
Speaking of the winter doldrums, perhaps your hair has lost its luster? I’m sorry, please don’t be offended – this isn’t personal, it’s just seasonal. OUAI’s new Hair Gloss ($34), infused with sugar beets, hyaluronic acid, rice water, and panthenol, is formulated to nourish damaged hair, regardless of color, keratin treatments, and bad hair day history. It’s also paraben and sulfate free, and lightly scented with the brand’s fan-favorite North Bondi scent. (If you’ve tried OUAI’s other hair or bodycare, you know this fragrance is intoxicating.) Silky smooth hair that smells like heaven with just a pea-sized amount of Gloss after showering? Please hold while I upgrade my post-shower ritual.
Before You Go…
Just a few more treats! Because your version of Santa might be vegan, gluten-free, and DTC-obsessed, order a box of Myna Snacks’ Midnight Mini Cookies ($28 per 4-pack), bite-sized deep chocolate delights made from organic cassava and almond flour, coconut sugar, and mushroom powder. Instead of milk, maybe you’ll leave out a Magic Mind shot, formulated with matcha, nootropics, adaptogens, and immune boosters like Vitamin C and Echinacea to boost your energy, mood, cognitive function, and health.
Looking for stocking stuffers? Lucky you, I’ve got my eyes peeled. Casa Bosques’ Infantes box ($36) – complete with one petit version of each of the chocolatier’s signature flavors – is, true to Casa Bosques form, a work of artisanal beauty. The worst part about the box is that each flavor is too beautiful to eat, but I’m sure you’ll find a way. Dieux’s Holiday Bundles are just as luxe, and I’m dreaming of a gift duo that involves an Eye Mask and some Puffed Quinoa Chocolate. In the bath, of course. What’s the point of the holidays if not a little harmless hedonism?
