If you inhaled Red White & Royal Blue the moment it dropped last week, you certainly weren't alone. Not only was I right there with you, it's already one of Amazon's top three most-watched romantic comedies ever. That's a victory for those of us who need a whimsical escape every now and then, where the plot machinations are low and the eye candy is blessedly high.
And I'm not just talking about the actors (though Taylor Zakhar Perez is occupying a lot of my brain space these days) — the looks they donned on both sides of the Atlantic caught my eye as well. So given our penchant for style guides here at TQE, I instantly got to looking for dupes for all the costuming highlights. Whether you're an Americana-loving Alex or you're into Prince Henry's preppy style, below you'll find dozens of pieces worth adding to your cart.

A IS FOR ACD
As the First Son of the United States and the President's most charming diplomatic weapon, Alex Claremont-Diaz is the film's heartthrob and beating heart. Played by the aforementioned Taylor Zakhar Perez, who's already racking up tons of kudos for his fashion sense off-screen, he's got a laidback but form-fitting sense of cool in his wardrobe stocked with basics. While finding an exact dupe of his signature leather jacket proved to be elusive, the looks below mimic several of his best-dressed moments from the rom-com. Just make sure those tees fit nice and tight if you're after the ACD effect.
HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS
What Prince Henry has in cherubic good looks he lacks in fashion daring — but when you're part of a staid, traditional institution, you don't have much say in the matter, do you? Lucky for us, the Prince's conservative formalwear is still striking and impeccably made, with premium materials and tailoring doing the heavy lifting. He tends to stick to the titular colors of red, white and (honestly, light) blue, though you'll see in another section below he loosens up as time goes on. If you're a fan of Anglo-prep wear like modern favorite Rowing Blazers, there's no question you could rock one of these royally-minted ensembles.

WHO RUN THE WORLD?
In imagining a United States that finally has a female President, the film's creators asked Uma Thurman to step in with one of the most bizarre accents I've… ever heard? But as full-camp as she goes with her Southern Belle drag, her power pantsuits are grounded enough to be very wearable. Combine her style with Sarah Shahi's poshly-dressed, acid-tongued Deputy Chief of Staff and you've got two fashionistas running a tight ship in the Oval Office.
OFF THE CLOCK
And finally, I'd be remiss not to call out some style moments from when our two leads put official duties aside and let their hair down. The bulk of these come from their trip to the Diaz ranch in Texas, and as such injects some country-style flair into the buttoned-up proceedings. These are great resortwear looks too, especially the corduroy shirt and shorts set, for any trip where you're looking to elevate your summer casuals. You don't need to be embroiled in a steamy, geopolitical romance to step it up and look your hottest.

'TIL THE SEQUEL
If we've learned anything from the film industry's patterns by now, this won't be the last installment from the Royal Blue cinematic universe. Until then, let's hope this inspires more queer romcoms in a similar vein: ones that are succinct, sexy, and — because why not? — eminently shoppable.
