Hilary Hoffman had a demanding decade-long career in finance before founding Soto Method: an efficient and effective workout program designed for people with minimal time to spare. These days, she motivates the busy high-achievers she once worked alongside during in-person and virtual classes.
Soto Method is a low-intensity, high-burn workout featuring dynamic movements and long, muscle-shaking holds. Needless to say, Hoffman loves a challenge. Her newest life change, however, is uncharted territory for Hoffman and her husband Robert. After working with fertility experts at Spring Fertility in New York City, Hoffman announced in late August that she is pregnant with twins—a boy and a girl—due in January. Just over 19 weeks in, Hoffman dished with TQE about all her must-have products for a healthy and happy pregnancy.
Hoffman spends a lot of time in workout gear—she’s sticking to her usual schedule, with a few minor adjustments to form—so you’ll likely find her in a FormCloud set from Set Active. She loves that the “super, super soft cotton weave” stretches naturally to offer support, not restriction. She’s nixed all other sports bras, which quickly became too compressive: “I don’t need anything else making it harder to breathe, right?” she says. Hoffman expects to size up in her Set gear throughout the pregnancy, but she won’t be switching brands. She especially loves that the leggings have an adjustable waistband that can be hiked up high or worn low to show off the belly — “Who knows the next time this is going to happen?” she says. Why not flaunt it?

Though this isn’t a maternity dress, Hoffman’s current outfit obsession – the maxi tank dress from Enza Costa – stretches so much to accommodate her growing belly that it’s “almost concerning.” Five months in with twins, she’s still wearing her pre-pregnancy size.

Hoffman is living in these easy, buttery-soft PJs from SKIMS. It’s common for nipples to get super sensitive during pregnancy, and Hoffman has to wear a bra all the time to “keep them together.” But these pajamas are so soft, she can “let them be free.”

WeNatal is one of the few fertility supplement brands with offerings for both women and men. Hoffman takes the prenatal, which is a single pill containing 24 nutrients moms and babies need. Omega-3 is notorious for causing nausea, but WeNatal’s version is easy on the stomach. She takes the supplement daily and hasn’t had an issue; she plans to continue taking the supps after giving birth, too.

Hoffman has been religious about rubbing this hydrating botanical oil on her belly throughout pregnancy. She’s avoided stretch marks so far, and credits Hatch with her smooth skin.

Hoffman struggled with dry lips early in her pregnancy and started keeping a tube of Aquaphor on hand for instant relief. Now, you won’t catch her without one.

Hoffman’s friend Tina Craig, founder of U Beauty, put her on to the brand’s Super Hydrator moisturizer early in her pregnancy, and Hoffman hasn’t looked back. She loves how deeply it moisturizes without causing breakouts, which she’s prone to.

Hoffman is a self-proclaimed “turkey sandwich connoisseur,” but pregnancy limits where she can get her deli meats. Zuckers, her favorite bagel spot in New York, offers “unbelievably fresh” turkey carved fresh off the bird. As long as she trusts the source, Hoffman says she’s “not holding back,” to satisfy her turkey sandwich fix.

An occasional spell of lightheadedness and foot cramps made Hoffman consider her hydration more seriously during pregnancy. She packs LMNT electrolyte powder in her bag for a boost of sodium and potassium on the go.

Hoffman likes to minimize decision fatigue, especially when it comes to her wardrobe, so she loves that the baby tees from Eterne are sophisticated and chic, but also incredibly soft and accommodating to her growing belly. She has tees, sweaters and sweatshirts from the brand in multiple colors, which she’ll pair with her favorite Leset midi skirt or Set Active leggings, depending on the occasion.

Hoffman occasionally stashes a can of Olipop ginger ale or ginger beer in her purse and pours it into a glass at a restaurant, pulling the kind of move only a pregnant woman can get away with. This high-fiber prebiotic soda is light on sugar and the ginger helps tame any potential nausea.

Entrepreneur, high-powered motivator, and mom-to-be Hilary Hoffman may be new to pregnancy, but she’s pulling it off like a pro. This is how you dress for comfort and style while keeping your skin glowing from head to toe and, of course, enjoying as many turkey sandwiches and New York bagels as possible.
