Welcome to another edition of Launch Digest, where we bring you the latest and greatest product launches to hit the market across the DTC universe. It’s officially September, which means that (legally speaking) brands are allowed to launch all things pumpkin spice and cloves, despite the temperatures in LA creeping towards 100 degrees. The Brands have declared it to be autumn, whether we like it or not. When it comes to pumpkin spice, it’s best to be an informed citizen. (And don’t worry, there are a few non-pumpkin-affiliated launches, too.) Read on.
It’s Time To Pumpkin Spice Up Your Life!
Pumpkin Spice Latté season is apparently already here – and all it took was the dawn of September. I, for one, am not ready to part with summer, but I am eager for all of these deliciously spiced launches.
Dona Makes Pumpkin Spice Sustainable:
Female-founded tea company Dona, dedicated to a sustainable and circular food economy, just introduced its Zero Waste Spice Dust. Engineered to create a healthier upcycling process, Dona’s Masala Chai Dust ($10) is made from upcycled spices and byproducts from the brewing process, including cinnamon, cardamom, black tea, cloves, and black peppercorn. It’s definitely to-die-for dusted over a Dona Masala Chai Latte, but will also upgrade your go-to banana bread recipe or morning oatmeal. Grab the Turmeric flavor for an anti-inflammatory latte or elevated egg scramble.
Honey Mamas Brings Back A Seasonal Fan Favorite:
At this point, I’m sure I don’t need to describe to you just how delicious Honey Mama’s indulgent but nourishing chocolate bars are. This fall, everyone’s favorite chocolatier is bringing back the popular Pumpkin Spice bar (from $24), featuring organic sprouted pumpkin seeds, orange essential oil, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and allspice. It’s available now and yes, it’s just as perfect as it sounds. Buy in bulk.
For Olfactory Enjoyment Only, From P.F. Candle Co:
Iconic California candle brand P.F. Candle Co. just dropped its Seasonal Scents collection, celebrating the return of Spiced Pumpkin, Spruce, and Apple Picking, the last of which hasn’t been available since 2019. Get the magic of the season shipped directly to your door with the Seasonal Classics gift set ($66). Sure, it makes a great gift for a loved one, but why not kick off the cozy season by showing yourself a little extra love?
For External Eyelid Use Only, From Too Faced:
Too Faced has launched its seasonal palette ($54), featuring 18 pumpkin-inspired warm fall tones that are, as a bonus, scented like a freshly baked pumpkin pie. The Pumpkin Spice set features highly pigmented matte, metallic, satin, and shimmery eye shadows, from a perfect toasted taupe to a vibrant fuschia This palette will have you looking like a totally fabulous treat – and slightly smelling like one, too.
And now, for the segment of this week’s digest that doesn’t smell like pumpkin…
Lupii Launches Your New Favorite Bean-Based Pasta, from $19.95
Sure, plant-based – or, to get more specific, bean-based – pastas are nothing new. We’ve got chickpea, lentil, and black bean pastas left and right in every Whole Foods (and don’t get me started on what’s going down at Erewhon). But Lupii, the brand making delicious protein bars out of the mighty lupini bean, just introduced elbow, penne, and rotini pastas made of the nutrient-dense and environmentally friendly plant-based bean. And get this? Lupini beans have 3x more protein than eggs. Unbelievable…but true. Your penne alla vodka just got like, 1 million times better – and more nourishing.
The Sill Introduces Fake Plants: Impossible To Kill, Guaranteed To Spruce Up Your Space
The Sill, known for shipping beautiful, live plants to your doorstep, just launched its first collection of Faux and Preserved Plants. Whether you want a Money Tree ($375) with all of the decorative statement and none of the stressful upkeep, or a delicate Orchid ($70) that otherwise couldn’t last a week in your apartment’s climate, The Sill’s got you covered.
Siesta Co.’s Conservas Will Take You To Spain – And Tinned Fish Summer Will Last Forever, from $35.95
Siesta Co. is the newest brand to enter the tinned game, with sustainably fished and wild-caught seafood sourced from Galicia, Spain, and preserved in organic extra virgin olive oil. Founded by Spanish-American husband-and-wife team Lucia Flors and Carlos Leiva, the brand draws inspiration from the delicious specialty products of aperitivo culture in their home country – and brings it to your table. Will you find yourself reaching for the Mussels and Squid, or are you playing it safe with a delicious and nutritious Mackerel or Tuna? Why not a little taste of everything? Order the Variety Pack ($40.95) and imagine you’re in Rías Baixas.
