Welcome to another edition of Launch Digest, where we bring you the latest and greatest product launches to hit the market across the DTC universe. This week, we’re browsing a touch of everything for the crisp winter weather, whether you’re looking to escape to a warmer mindset vis a vis a candle, or bundling up for a day on the slopes with Reformation or Comme Si. Keep reading: I’m talking launches in your living rooms, closets, and kitchens. And I won’t overstay my welcome. Promise.

Are You Ready To Be OOO? Vacation’s New Candle Has You Covered, $42

Credit: Vacation

We’re obviously big Vacation fans here at TQE. But it’s not just the brand’s impeccable and playful nostalgic branding that has us hooked. Vacation’s SPF, be it via oil, lotion, or even whipped cream, encourages safe sun simply because the fragrance is so damn delicious. I’m dying to reapply as often as I can, just to keep the “you smell amazing” compliments rolling in.

And right as we’re all vying for getaways in warmer locales, Vacation has launched the ultimate olfactory escape: a candle ($42) that features the brand’s signature scent – what the brand describes as a blend of “coconut, banana, pool water, pool toy, and swimsuit lycra notes.” It’s sexy, it’s intoxicating, and it’s a limited-edition launch. Snag one for your living room plus a few extra for everyone on your list who’s a professional poolside lounger or connoisseur of leisure.

Kosterina Launches An Olive Oil To Spice Up Your Winter Dinner, $24.95

Credit: Kosterina

Olive oil brand Kosterina just launched a Spicy Red Pepper Olive Oil ($24.95) that marries early harvest Koroneiki olives from Southern Greece with a dash of red pepper oil for a subtle spice that’ll infuse some warmth into your go-to winter meals. Cook with it or drizzle it to banish your winter blues. I, for one, am intrigued to see how it compares to Brightland’s OG, ARDOR ($40), a chili olive oil blended with red chili peppers, jalapeño peppers, chipotle peppers, and paprika. Is this town big enough for two? You be the judge.

Tekla And Jacquemus Get Into Bed Together, prices vary

Credit: Tekla

Tekla, my favorite textile brand (and perhaps favorite brand at the moment, point-blank), dropped a limited collection this week in collaboration with Jacquemus. Featuring bedding, sleepwear-inspired pieces, and terry towels all in contrasting but neutral patterns, the collection merges Jacquemus’s creative and unexpected aesthetic with Tekla’s classic, timeless style. Bonus: all of the items are crafted from 100% organic cotton and French flax linen. Suddenly I’m in the market for a new set of sheets – and couldn’t I also use a unisex button-up ($215) that will make every outfit (or loungewear look) 10x more chic? Don’t answer that.

Reformation And Canada Goose: An Unlikely Affair?, from $195

Credit: Reformation

Two more brands found cozied up in the corner booth this week: Reformation and legacy outerwear brand Canada Goose. The latter is cemented in my mind not just for its cultural association with very expensive, very “East Coast” sartorial predilections, but also for its (controversial) use of coyote fur trim and other animal furs in all of its collections. This collaboration with Reformation – a brand synonymous with sustainable DTC fashion – perhaps signals a new era for Canada Goose after the brand announced it would cease its use of fur by the end of 2022. With satin outerwear made from recycled and plant-based fibers (and, of course, responsibly-sourced down), the seven-piece capsule collection marries Canada Goose’s functional design with Ref’s playful prints and vibrant colorways. Perhaps this is Canada Goose’s social repentance for its environmental and ethical sins. But a great winter jacket is a great winter jacket – and it’s sustainable now, too. I won’t judge you for reaping the benefits of this branding alliance.

Comme Si Goes Ski, $46

Credit: Comme Si

Now that you’ve got your outerwear covered, you might also need some undergarments for your glamorous ski sojourn to Aspen or the French Alps, because you’re chic like that. Comme Si’s newest launch, The Ski Sock ($46), will fit right in – and the accompanying campaign creative has all of the styling inspiration you’ll need. The base of the sock is designed to wick sweat and prevent bacteria build-up, and the padding is crafted from Merino wool. Translation: these socks will take you directly from the slopes to après-ski obligations, no outfit changing required.

RE/DONE Dabbles In Reincarnation, prices vary

Credit: RE/DONE

RE/DONE, the brand that makes my (and many other in-the-know individuals’) favorite denim, refreshed its 2022 Vintage Marketplace earlier this week – and items are selling out, fast. Brimming with beautiful collectibles that reflect the brand’s dedication to heritage-focused design and sustainability via upcycling, the collection has gifts for everyone on your list, from (literally) one-of-a-kind necklaces to ornate lighters and ashtrays they’ll cherish indefinitely. While you’re there, you might also shop the brand’s latest Season 4 Collection, which has plenty of perfect wardrobe essentials for this winter and beyond. Peruse these links at your own risk; your wallet has been warned.

For Your Weary Winter Muscles: Kinfield Launches Recovery Salts, $16

Credit: Kinfield

Has the shift in the weather – and the stress of all this holiday shopping – started to seep into your bones? I’ve saved the best TLC launch for last. Kinfield, the brand best known for Golden Hour, its cult-favorite vanilla-scented insect repellent, just launched a mineral bath soak to help you recharge through the colder months. The limited-edition Recovery Salts ($16) are made with epsom salt crystals, pine, and lavender for a heavenly post-slope (or post-work) soak. And it just so happens to be an ideal gift for anyone in your life who needs a little extra care. Check out the brand’s Big Chill Bundle ($46), which combines the Recovery Salts with a rich overnight mask and moisturizing lip balm for a set that will help them feel nourished and cared for from now till summer.

I’ll be back next week with a new set of launches in the DTC universe. Email me directly – zoe@thequalityedit.com – with any launches you’d like to see in the spotlight, or DM us over @thequalityedit
