Launch Digest: Let The Limited-Edition Holiday Launch Games Begin

Our team is dedicated to finding and telling you more about the web’s best products. If you purchase through our links, we may receive a commission. Our editorial team is independent and only endorses products we believe in.

Welcome to another edition of Launch Digest, where we bring you the latest and greatest product launches to hit the market across the DTC universe. The way in which it is officially December…no comment. If you’re a consistent reader with a knack for observation, you may have noticed that we took a break from launch coverage last week. We all had enough reading material in our inboxes, brimming with stressful offers of the-hottest-sale-ever-that-will-only-last-for-one-day (but will actually last for a full week, even).

I’m happy it’s all over – and am praying the “you left these items for dead in your cart, do you still want them” emails will stop haunting me. Read on for limited-edition holiday launches that make great gifts – if you can get to them before they sell out – skincare that will make you look (and feel) like a Grecian goddess, and shoes for toddlers that are almost too chic to be true.

Launches To Stuff In Stockings – If You Can Catch These Before They Sell Out

Clean beauty brand Tower 28 and handmade jewelry label Yam teamed up this week to launch the perfect limited-edition stocking stuffer: the 14k gold-plated Pearl Wave Drop Earrings ($48), made with sustainably-sourced vintage freshwater pearls and hypoallergenic sterling silver posts. The brands only made 200 pairs, so don’t let these sit in your add-to-cart purgatory for too long.

Brooke Callahan, the small jewelry label made by hand in LA with materials sourced from Italy, just dropped some very special one-of-a-kind vintage items, ideal for gifting. From Parisian butterfly barrettes ($78) to a playful anthropomorphic necklace ($140), these pieces won’t last long; half the collection is already sold out. If you don’t make it to the vintage drops in time, the designer’s most iconic pieces are, in my opinion, her beautiful glass pendants. (I’ve had my eye on one of those hearts for months now.) Remember: gifting is a social construct, and gifting-to-self counts.

Get Golden, the ballerina-founded brand making anti-inflammatory nut and seed-based bars that are as delicious as they are nourishing, just introduced a limited-edition Holiday Cocktail Nut Mix ($28) that’s begging for a seat at your next cocktail party. A perfectly salty and sweet blend of caramelized nuts and toasted coconut, the mix is inspired by founder Jenelle Manzi’s first time seeing The Nutcracker ballet with her grandmother as a young girl; it’s a better-for-you, artisan version of the candies and nuts sold at intermission. Snatch this for your own snacking purposes (while watching holiday movies or hosting a soiree), or send to your favorite foodie or hostess.

Veja Gets Really (Really) Cute, $70

Sustainable and ethical sneaker brand Veja wins the award for most adorable launch of the week: its first baby shoes ($70). Sized 3-12 months and ethically made in Brazil with organic cotton, 100% recycled polyester, and a suede upper, these shoes are as cute as they are chic. They’ll likely be on baby registries all year round, but you can get to gifting these (or purchasing for your own little ones) just in time for the holidays.

The Row And Doen, Meet Your New Step-Sister: Rebecca Taylor Launches A’Court, prices vary

Credit: A’Court

Rebecca Taylor, designer of – you guessed it – Rebecca Taylor fame, has launched a new brand: A’Court. Drawing inspiration from her New Zealand roots, the inaugural collection is edited and understated, and reminds me of a dreamy (and wallet-threatening) combination of Doen and The Row. Made using men’s fabrics and techniques with subtle feminine details like scalloped collars and mother of pearl buttons, each piece looks like a timeless wardrobe investment – and it’s all available for pre-order now.

For Your Winter Skin Consideration: Monastery, prices vary

In this week’s “new to me” feature, might I introduce you to Monastery, your skin’s new best friend? After studying and practicing esthetics for a decade, founder Athena Hewett returned to her Greek grandmother’s holistic recipes for purifying and healing skin – which were better than any modern technology or skincare product she had found. Monastery’s collection blends botanicals and essential oils to give your skin the best that nature has to offer, in its purest form. I’m hatching some plans to gift the Superglow Moisture Kit ($294) to everyone on my list who deserves a little pampering during these dark and dry winter months.

I’ll be back next week with a new set of launches in the DTC universe. Email me directly – zoe@thequalityedit.com – with any launches you’d like to see in the spotlight, or DM us over @thequalityedit.
