Welcome to Launch Digest, where we bring you the latest and greatest product launches to hit the market across the DTC universe. Some weeks are just better than others. This week, the DTC gods are delivering: we’re looking at newness from Fishwife, Tower 28, Merit, P.F. Candle Co, Bode, J. Hannah, and the nascent stages of Pumpkin Spice mania. October is arguably just around the corner. Let’s get up to speed.

Fishwife’s New Mackerel Is A Total Smoke Show, $32 per 3-pack
Fishwife, the hottest girl in the tinned fish game, introduced its latest triumph last week: a crispy on the outside, buttery and tender on the inside, Slow Smoked Mackerel. Sorry I didn’t tell you sooner, I was too busy stockpiling. Pretty much all of Fishwife’s tins are home runs, but this Mackerel is jaw-droppingly good. It’s hand-cut, sweet cured, and slowly smoked over natural wood, infused with crushed chilis and garlic, and hand-packed into a tin that’ll blow your mind. True to Fishwife’s dedication to ethical and premium sourcing, the mackerel is responsibly wild-caught in the Northeast Atlantic during the winter months, when mackerel quality is at its peak. Your 10-minute lunch, dinner, or guest-ready grazing board just got 10 times better.
Tower 28 And Merit Elevate Your Beauty Routine With Just A Few Swipes, from $22
It’s a great week for looking gorgeous. Tower 28 launched its new Swipe Serum Concealer ($22), a hydrating concealer that glides on like a serum, with the buildable power to cover everything from dark circles to redness. The hydrating element is key: designed to avoid the cardinal sin of a concealer that clings to dry patches. We’ve all been there.
While Tower 28 takes care of your complexion, Merit has your everyday eye look covered. Known for its minimalist approach to clean beauty, Merit’s new Solo Shadow ($24) is described by the brand as “the antidote to the 50-shade palettes of the 2010s.” A single pot of buildable, cream-to-powder shadow, the Solo Shadow is formulated with antioxidant-rich chamomile, calendula, and magnolia bark to soothe and smooth the eye area. Whether you’re swiping one of the four neutral shades or dipping into bolder hues, the shadow is designed to be impossible to mess up, leaving you with a soft-matte wash of color that feels lived in, classic, and never contrived.
Pumpkin Spice Has Arrived, And Nobody Is Safe
It’s the last week of August, which means it’s officially impossible to hide from pumpkin hegemony. I’m sorry, I truly do not make the rules. Fortunately, the fall-themed launches I’m fielding are a little more interesting than a PSL. Promise.
P.F. Candle Co. launched its Seasonal Classics collection a few days ago. The trio includes a buttery Spiced Pumpkin, woodsy Spruce, and warm Persimmon Cider ($24) that’ll have you dreaming of crisp autumn days spent apple picking. Fine. I’ve already started burning these, and it’s still 85 degrees in LA.
Dalci just unveiled its new Pumpkin Spice Blondie, made with unrefined coconut sugar, real pumpkin puree, eggs, avocado oil, and spices that’ll warm your digestive fire (and heart) like cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. Imagining this paired with some ice cream, because I’m a genius.
Meanwhile, Cedar’s launched an Organic Pumpkin Hummus, which I imagine was the product of a twisted boardroom brainstorm. It’s definitely giving Pumpkin Spice (Latte) – infused with cinnamon, maple, and vanilla – but perhaps you’ll get a bizarre kick out of adding it to your morning oatmeal or a sweet and savory Fall salad. To each their own.

A Few More Beautiful Things
Fine jewelry (and fine nail polish) label J. Hannah has branched into homewares with two table lamps (from $880) that look almost like architectural artifacts. The lamps are unexpected, elegant, and customizable by cord color. What you’d expect – in the best way – from the jewelry designer’s foray into lighting. Hopefully there’s more to come.
Bode’s first release of womenswear is fantastic, and has me scheming ways to legally procure several thousand dollars, fast – just to snag a pair of pinstripe trousers or one of many excellent dresses that range from gauzy to brocade.
Belgian design brand Serax collaborated with Marni on a 120-piece porcelain tableware collection, full of perfect (and perfectly asymmetrical) plates, bowls, saucers, and teapots embellished with a floral motif on fine bone china. Much of the collection is already sold out, but there are still some delicate teapots, saucers, and bowls ready to look gorgeous in your breakfast nook.
