We don’t get many movies like Saltburn these days, do we? From the shocking plot twists, to the unpredictable characters, to every well-shot scene, there’s a lot to love—but a major highlight is the costuming. Kicking off with a storyline that begins in 2006, we see the characters evolve over time, and so does the fashion. A few characters start and stay classically glamorous while others get a major glow-up. In an interview with GQ, the film’s costume designer Sophie Canale said she got inspired by looking back at her archives from the early aughts where she found inspiration that aligned with the film’s British ‘old money’ aesthetic.
From early scenes at university to extravagant parties and beyond, we have a full buffet of looks to consider here. We pulled some of the notable scenes from the movie and some lookalike pieces you can buy online to recreate this vibe for yourself.

Felix’s Relaxed Preppy Aesthetic
Felix is the tall, glamorous, casually gorgeous character who’s typically outfitted in some version of a rugby shirt, polo, or even a simple white tank to give off an energy that says “I’m so handsome I don’t even have to try.” The spiked eyebrow ring adds a nice edge to this traditionally preppy look and lets us all know he’s not as squeaky-clean as he looks. For anyone interested in recreating this look, just throw on a rugby shirt from Abercrombie ($60), add a few woven bracelets from Pura Vida ($15), and in general, don’t think about it too hard! Felix’s look is very casual and unkempt, so all you need is some ruffled hair and a smirk to top this look off.
Oliver’s Embroidered Statement Jacket
Oh Oliver. You sneaky, sneaky man. I’ll save you the spoilers, but I will say: Oliver is a chameleon in this movie, and while his look changes a lot over the course of the storyline, my favorite look of his can be found during the scene where Felix’s family decides to throw him a birthday party at the family’s estate. It’s a costume party, and Oliver arrives wearing an incredible white embroidered jacket and deer antlers. If you’re on the hunt for a similar statement piece, I’d recommend two options: A pricer version that’s hand embroidered from Perte d’ego ($380), or this printed unisex option from The Kit ($138).
Venetia’s Party Girl Panache
Venetia’s character goes all in on shiny fabrics, rhinestones, glitter, and fringe; I’d call her look a sort of rock glam paired with an early 2000s pop star vibe. In one scene she’s wearing a rainbow fringe jacket on the tennis court, in another, she’s lounging around in a sequin dress. One of my favorite looks came from this scene, wherein she’s sporting a pair of high-waisted flares covered in gold stars, paired with a shiny pink bra. You can easily re-create this look with the NastyGal Star Sequin Trousers (a damn good dupe at just $60), the Barbie pink Beach Riot X Revolve Izzy sports bra ($79), and an oversized black leather jacket from Overland ($695). Top it off with some smudgy black eyeliner, a bottle of champagne, and you’re Venetia-ed.
Farleigh’s 70s Chic
Farleigh has a very 1970s-paisley-and-embroidery-heavy look throughout the film, and much of his wardrobe looks like high-end vintage pieces that are layered, mixed and matched. It results in odd combinations at times, but it’s a signature look for sure. If you’re looking to lean into outfits that have this funky, no rules approach, go grab a patterned button-down shirt from Hawes and Curtis ($50), layer it with a wool cable crew vest from Bonobos ($89), and be sure to carry around a book, too (I’d suggest something by F. Scott Fitzgerald, perhaps?). Be sure to practice your scowl.

Elspeth Glamorous Eveningwear Looks
Elspeth lives in her own little bubble of wealth, and when she gets ready for dinner, it’s all formal, all the time. She spares no expense when it comes to her glamorous evening gowns, which are typically long, shiny, and colorful. While you may not have a formal dinner to sit down to each night at your centuries-old estate, you could take a page from her book for a special event with this stunning velvet ruched dress by House of Harlow 1960 x Revolve ($328). Pair it with some simple drop earrings like these Frida Grey pearl ones from Ana Luisa ($55), and you’ll be ready to start sipping champagne and urging new friends to tell you their deepest, darkest secrets.
Pamela’s Victorian Whimsy
We only get a little bit of screentime with Pamela, one of Elspeth’s quirky house guests, and her fashion sense sort of says…creepy Victorian doll? Her color of choice is black, and we see it paired with her bright orange hair and severe lipstick shades. You can conjure up a Pamela look by layering the Free People Don’t Look Back Bustier from Revolve ($78) with a crepe de chine ruffle blouse from Lilysilk ($149), slapping on some temporary tattoos from Tattly ($5.50), and finding a wealthy friend who likes to hear wild (but earnest!) stories about your life.
