Dua Lipa’s spent the first months of 2024 on a PR blitz promoting her new singles “Houdini” and “Training Season” from her upcoming third album, and her fans (“Peeps”?) are in heaven. Her roles in Barbie and Argylle mean Dua’s been hitting the red carpet nonstop since the summer of 2023, and she shows no signs of slowing down. After the lockdown dominance of Future Nostalgia, Dua’s taken years to release a new full length record. Luckily, the wait is nearly over and we can expect her next record, Radical Optimism, to drop on May 3rd. The singer describes the album as being inspired by London’s raw energy, 70’s psychedelia, and 90’s Britpop. Meanwhile, the queen of pop has released a string of singles that are already everywhere on the radio and TikTok.
Dua’s known for her incredible red carpet looks, but she’s also been a champion of emerging brands and is always one step ahead of the trend cycle. From her red carpet glam to her casual personal street style, Dua’s proven herself as a rule breaker and trend setting. Read on for our Dua Lipa style guide.

Dua’s new Vincent Haycock-directed music video features one look, but it’s an instant classic. Sipping her tea while a crowd of suitors gawk from behind a window, Dua holds it down in a perfect black leather blazer which perfectly complements her new signature red hair.
A good leather jacket is an investment – I’ve had my favorite biker jacket for over a decade and it just gets better with age. This leather coat from Zadig and Voltaire radiates Dua’s easy cool girl energy with a bit of an edge. And it’s currently on sale!

If you want a vegan leather option, I love the oversized fit of this 7 For All Mankind double breasted faux leather blazer. As a bonus, it’s currently on super sale for only $100 (final sale).

Her press photos for the Training Day single feature Dua in a square neck jumpsuit, mary janes, and her signature ultra sheer stockings. The shoot reminds me of the 2010s American Apparel / APC era, so I have to recommend these classic A.P.C mary janes. The slightly rounded toe match Dua’s, while the slight cutout at the ankle give them a little extra something.

Dua loves a pair of sheer tights, whether it’s onstage or in her music videos. For me, Falke is the only brand that makes whisper thin tights that are strong enough to wear over and over again. Stockings are something that it’s tempting to skimp on, but it’s beyond worth it to invest in a pair that don’t get runs in them the second you walk out the door.

Dua’s always had a bit of a sporty edge in her personal style, and her Houdini video leaned into a Y2K sporty spice dancer-off-duty aesthetic.
The navy Martine Rose track pants that Dua rocks in the Houdini video are currently on sale on Farfetch for almost 50% off! I love the idea of pairing them with a sexy top for a going out look, but they could also double as cozy lounge pants.

Dua has also dipped a toe into the fashion world with her collection La Vacanza for Versace, as seen on this cover for Dazed & on the red carpet for her Barbie press tour. True to her Y2K inspired aesthetic, the collection featured flirty club tops, graphic LBDs, and, of course, sequins.
While Dua’s Versace collab appears to have sold out, Reformation’s got you covered with this cute pink silk halter.

If you’re looking for a pretty spot on dupe for Dua’s Versace blue sequined skirt, I love this daring low rise mini from it brand Guizio.

For red carpet looks, Dua loves two things: sheers and sequins. She wore an incredible burgundy Gucci look to the Argylle press tour which I haven’t been able to stop thinking about.
This Simkhai tank has the same vibe as Dua’s red carpet look, and comes as half of a matching set if you wanted to do a head to toe burgundy fit. The lace detailing is a fun unique contrast to the metallic sheen of the sequins.

Dua is a huge fan of emerging Italian brand GCDS, consistently rocking their bags and moto jackets in her personal life. While I love their pricey leather goods, I also adore their more reasonably priced – but still edgy – loungewear. This cropped baby tee definitely fits with Dua’s 2000s vibe.

This studded bag from Scandi cool girl brand Núnoo is like the baby sister of Dua’s oversized studded GCDS tote. I already have an extensive collection of Núnoo bags but might have to add this one to cart…

One thing I love about Dua is how consistent her personal style is across all aspects of her life. I could just as easily picture her on the street in this Margelia-tabi-anchored look she wore on Seth Meyers. Per usual, she struck a perfect balance between sheers and leather as well as a more masculine oversized button down and a delicate floral skirt.

If you don’t want to drop 2k on a pair of Margelia tabis, this (non-cloven) pair from Vagabond are perfect. I’ve tromped all over New York in my Vagabonds without a single blister – they’re my ride or die go tos and I can’t wait to pair them with some sheer tights a la Dua.
