After spending the better part of our holiday break Marie Kondo-ing our spaces, we feel pickier-than-ever about the products we’re bringing into 2024. Here, check out the picks that made our list. Happy new year and happy shopping from Team TQE!
“Prior to taking the plunge, I thought the Doona was an unnecessary addition to my baby registry since it would last less than a year and is on the pricey side. I've since changed my tune. This is without a doubt my favorite baby item we own... and my husband has said the same. Traveling with the Doona Car Seat/Stroller combo is effortless (well, as effortless as travel with an infant can be). I feel empowered to leave my house with baby more because of the ease of use. Not only that -- the collaboration with Vashtie is gorgeous. The little sayings printed all over the Doona keep me charged up through the good, bad, and the ugly days of parenthood.” –Dana Abraham

“I got one of these for the holidays and even if the official celebrations are technically over, there's no reason to sequester this deliciousness to a tiny sliver of the year. As someone who has tried a multitude of expensive and cheap and homemade (I attempted to bake one and it turned out inedibly dense) pannettones, you can trust me when I say this is one of the best for its flavor, lightness, and moistness. I used to be a Scarpato diehard but I'm a full Olivieri convert. Pro tip: when it starts to exceed peak freshness, extend its life by making french toast.” –Sanibel Chai

“If you're like me and heading to warm climates this holiday season to escape the winter frost, you'll want to consider checking out Daise's new line of UPF friendly resortwear. The material is soft to the touch, the designs are chic, and the sun protection is serious: 45 UPF means you'll be protected from 98% of the sun's rays!” –Lee Joselowitz

“Things I'm currently happy about: The winter season. Things I'm currently not happy about: My dry winter skin. AYOND has turned up the heat without wrecking my skin with organic botanicals, essences, and clinically proven ingredients from the high desert. Their Resilience Ritual, which includes all of their core products, has revived my skin this season on a cellular level. My skin feels endlessly hydrated, locked, popped, snatched, and taught for all-day protection (no matter the elements). I'm obsessed with their thoughtfully clean, gentle ingredients using their proprietary XERAFLORA™ complex. I highly recommend (and yes, that is a desert pun).” –Annie Goodman

“Dandy Del Mar, summer's hottest fashion brand, is finally cooling down. I'm a SoCal guy and a big fan of the flowy, open Hawaiin shirt look, so it goes without saying I'm a big fan of Dandy Del Mar, a brand synonymous with leisure, summer and frozen fruity cocktails. But with the launch of their brand new Fall/Holiday Collection and a focus on winter winter, this summer-forward brand has struck winter gold. Their brand new Cusco Sherpa Pullover is a cozy nod to the changing of seasons and the fading of tans. The vintage ivory pullover is warm, cozy and stylish as all hell. Highly recommend!” –Hunter Cope

“Not only is Troye Sivan my #1 Spotify Wrapped artist this year, but he is also the co-creative director of fragrance atelier Tsu Lange Yor, my favorite new brand of 2023. Tsu Lange Yor's aluminum oil burner is definitely my favorite product this year, and a perfect holiday gift. Hand cast from recycled aluminum, it's a beautiful object whether it's in use or not. My morning routine this winter has become anchored around selecting one of Tsu Lang Yor's three scents (summery Pool, smokey Sassafras, or their sultry signature blend) and lighting a tea candle under the diffuser. I leave it on all morning while I work from home, letting their beautifully crafted scents transform my house into a sanctuary. Perfect for: lazy winter mornings, happy hour sunsets, after hours gatherings.” –Hannah Baker

“After living through a painstaking bathroom reno, my old bathmat simply couldn't compete with the glow up that took place around it. Having deciding that a chic Japanese wood-slat mat was a recipe for wet floors and unsuspecting spills, I was worried I wouldn't be able to find anything that fit the new aesthetic -- until a colleague turned me onto Afternoon Light. Sure enough, they stocked the perfect bathmat from Zone Denmark, a high-pile cotton design with tiling that echoes the vertical tiles on my wall beautifully. It's easy to wash and dry, and even easier to admire.” –Ryan Willison

“I am so excited about this cross body diaper bag. As a third time mom, I've struggled to find a diaper bag that I love. I've also realized I'd rather use a bag that looks like a purse as opposed to a bulky tote or backpack. This crossbody bag is the first diaper bag I've found that let's me bring the essentials without needing schlep something huge. There are two sections, one for my stuff and one for the baby's stuff. This time around, I've found myself leaving the baby's stuff in the car (or sometimes at home) because I want to carry a purse as opposed to a diaper bag. This is the best of both worlds. And made with sustainable bag is made in the USA with bio leather, this bag is exactly what every mom needs. You can also get additional straps with fun designs adding to its versatility. This is a new mama must-have!” –Aliza Friedlander

“While technology may be convenient, I am old school when it comes to a calendar — paper planners reduce distractions that accompany digital devices, and allow for more creative expression. This could not be more true than with the Laurel Denise Weekly Planner. Aside from a beautiful layout, which calms the chaos of looking at your week-at-a-glance, the design features spacious to-do sections (daily and weekly, as well as monthly which I find ideal for bigger picture goals). But it's the back page for reflection (to capture my annual reading wish lists, gratitude notes, fitness inspiration and more) and habit tracker that makes this more than a planner, but an extension of life. Sayonara scattered digital notes to self. 2024 is poised to be even more creatively fulfilling, and with this spiral schedule in hand I won't miss a moment of it.” –Christine Morrison
