I consider myself a pretty good sleeper. I realize that’s a pretty big brag these days, so I’ll cut to the chase before I lose you: I considered myself a pretty good sleeper…and then I got an Oura ring. I thought I was going to wake up and pull a Kim K 90-something sleep score on my first night, but I was shocked (appalled, even) to discover that I had only earned a 70. After multiple nights in the C-range, I ordered Beam Dream to see if the incredibly popular nighttime blend could actually help me fall asleep faster and wake up feeling more rested.
Dream is formulated with magnesium, reishi, L-theanine, melatonin, and nano hemp: magnesium relaxes your muscles and regulates the nervous system; reishi helps to support the body’s sleep cycle; L-theanine promotes relaxation and helps improve sleep quality; melatonin regulates the body’s circadian rhythms; and nano hemp naturally supports mood, stress, rest, and wellbeing. It’s also gluten-free, dairy free, vegan, and non-GMO – and it’s available in several droolworthy flavors:
I ordered both the Original and White Chocolate Peppermint and have tried both. They’re incredibly easy to make (blend and froth a scoop of the powder with warm water or milk 45 minutes before bed and sip peacefully) and taste great (healthier and less sweet than your average hot chocolate, but still a little treat). And the best part is how they make me feel. I was concerned that Dream might be too good at its job and leave me drowsy during the day, but it only contains 3mg of melatonin: the perfect dose to help me drift to sleep, but still ease awake come morning. I’ve actually noticed that I have more energy and am typically in a better mood the morning after drinking Dream.
My boyfriend usually rolls his eyes at this part, but I have to mention my sleep scores (if you have an Oura ring and don’t constantly talk about your Oura ring, do you really have an Oura ring?). Look at this before and after!
I’m no scientist, so I have no way to substantiate my claims, but I really do believe in this stuff! If you’ve been searching for a little help in the sleep department, I can’t recommend Dream enough.
