The Monday after a smooth Oscars ceremony is meant for one thing, and one thing only: feverish, hungover group chat debates over the night’s red carpet looks. Compared to the drama of recent years, it was a relief to have a ceremony relatively devoid of slip ups or controversy. As always, a few trends emerged from both the awards show and the fashion on display. Poor Things and Oppenheimer were almost as dominant in the Dolby Theater as sequins and beaded accents. Zone of Interest upset a couple key categories, much like the unexpected resurgence of peplums and evening gloves. And while John Cena had one of the funniest bits of the night while in the nude, Ryan Gosling & his army of Kens stole the show in their Western-wear-inspired Kenstravaganza.
Whether you’re in bed nursing a hangover after a big night of partying (lucky you), or Googling “Ryan Gosling Ken Cowboy Hat Where From” from your office desk (hi!), The Quality Edit’s got you covered. Take your cue from Hollywood’s biggest stars and shop our Oscars red carpet inspired edit below

Zendaya has been absolutely slaying the red carpet while promoting Dune: Part 2, and her Armani Oscars look was no exception. For a more casual take on a pink satin maxi, we love this sleek option from & Other Stories – perfect for spring and summer, and easy to dress up with accessories or dress down by wearing under a simple white tee.

Carey Mulligan channeled old Hollywood glam in vintage Balenciaga. Evening gloves were all over the red carpet last night, but Carey’s jet black pair felt the most seamlessly tied into her look. While we don’t think you’ll be rocking evening gloves any time soon (prove us wrong!), we love the idea of mirroring the scalloped edges of Mulligan’s skirt in this elegant ALC midi skirt (with optional matching mock neck top!).

Colman. Domingo. Never. Misses. While much of the menswear last night was a bit of a snooze, Domingo served in his Louis Vuitton fit. The Western-wear inspired shoes peeking out from under his perfectly tailored suit were a highlight of the night. They reminded us of Ganni’s It Girl boots of the season – snag them in the Black and Yellow colorway to echo the brassy toe of Colman’s Oscars footwear.

Another Dune: Part 2 alumna who absolutely killed it on the red carpet last night: Miss Flo in Del Core. Florence Pugh has been nailing the perfect mix of risk taking details and high glam silhouettes over the last few years. The unique water droplet texturing on her gorgeous dress last night reminded us of one of our favorite nail trends of 2024, the bubble drip. This press on set from Kiss features cool textures and easy application – at 1/10th of the cost of having a custom set like this applied in a salon.

Oscar-winner Billie Eilish looked so cute in her classic black and white Chanel set. The look is pulled together by classic patent Mary Janes – one of 2024’s biggest footwear trends. Our forever favorite Mary Janes come from Italian shoemakers Eledera. Their shoes feature a comfortable heel and slight platform, perfect for an all-nighter of Oscars after parties.

Celine Song looked stunning in this black and navy suit from Loewe. We love seeing people break the outdated “black and navy don’t mix” fashion rule – the combo can add unexpected flair to any classic silhouette. The colorblocking on Argent’s sleek double-breasted black and navy blazer is super flattering. An absolute winner.

While all the girlies were wearing sequins last night, Laura Karpman, nominated for best original score for American Fiction, definitely won most bedazzled. We have no choice but to stan a woman who rocks a $1600 Cadbury inspired purse. Her high camp suit reminded us of Simon Miller’s killer, on-trend silver Sequin Robo Pant, available on their own or as a suit set.

Ryan Gosling looks dashing per usual in this Gucci suit, but he really shone in the accessories department last night. His barely there pendant necklace perfectly balances this beaded suit – and gives him an excuse to unbutton that shirt. Catbird has a ton of gorgeous thin chain pendants to choose from, whether you want to rock your birth month flower or a 14k gold croissant.

And, of course, Ryan and his army of Ken castmates and dancers had the moment of the night in their many, many cowboy hats. Aussie brand Lack of Color’s got you covered for all your Western-core needs, but we especially love the vintage silhouette of their Ridge Hat in Black. Cue hat choreo moment.
