From Overwhelmed to Organized: 5 Ways This Interactive Calendar Saved My Family’s Sanity

Running a household is chaotic. With a partner, two littles, and a couple of pets to keep track of, I feel lucky if I show up to the right place at the right time on the right day. A longtime paper-calendar-on-the-fridge user, I finally accepted that I needed to explore a more modern option after I logged several appointments in my phone calendar while on-the-go and totally forgot to transfer them to my beloved fridge calendar. In short, the Skylight Calendar has been a total gamechanger – not only for me (which, frankly, I anticipated), but for my partner and kids, too. I credit it with all of our sanity now – here’s why…

Scheduling For The Whole Family

The Skylight Calendar syncs multiple calendars into one easy-to-view screen, color-coded for convenience. We had a lot of fun each picking out our color (the kids loved this part) and it makes seeing who has what, and when, so simple. I also love that everyone in the family can see what’s coming up – from gymnastics to dentist appointments and birthday parties – as it keeps us on the same page and builds so much excitement around special occasions!

It’s All Connected

Setting up this gorgeous, WiFi-connected calendar couldn’t be simpler (it took 10 minutes flat) – and it’s beyond easy to connect it to other devices. The Skylight Calendar integrates with Google, Outlook, Apple, Cozi, and Yahoo, so the adults in your life can loop the family in on any events on their personal calendars.

Update On-The-Go

Adding events on the fly is a breeze. Whether you update your Google Calendar or the Skylight app directly, everything syncs seamlessly. I appreciate this feature so much – it’s where I was struggling previously, and scheduling follow-up appointments or spontaneous plans no longer gives me anxiety!

Full Family Participation

I never knew I needed this calendar’s features – and now I can’t imagine living without them. It has an engaging emoji-filled chore chart that my littles live for. We’re pretty strict on screen time, so interacting with this chore chart is a treat for them. I no longer have to beg and plead with them to do their chores – they see it all as a game, and I am thrilled.

Interactive Lists

In addition to tasks and to-dos, the Skylight Calendar also has a feature for creating grocery lists, and we use it all the time. Our kids can add items as they learn to read, and shopping has become a family affair. It’s one of many unexpected features that has really brought our family together – who knew a calendar could be so powerful?!
