Taylor Swift has long been known for her love of cats, devoted fandom, and world-sweeping success in music, but her impact on fashion is a bit more obscure. Seldom referred to as a style icon, Swift instead weaves narratives with her wardrobe that tell the tale of a specific era — informing her followers what album she’s currently writing, singing, promoting, or even a combination of all three. However, her Eras tour wardrobe (curated by Joseph Cassell Falconer) and the looks she’s worn between shows to spend time with boyfriend Travis Kelce are distinctly designer. Swift seems more clued in to luxury labels than ever before, sporting Gucci minidresses and Versace sets on date night, Louis Vuitton It-bags, and platforms from the likes of Vivienne Westwood and Stella McCartney.

Channeling her new aesthetic, which marries Victorian silhouettes like corsets and sweetheart necklines with Americana charm, I created three fall- and winter-friendly outfits for every mood and occasion. From styling her go-to patchwork Magnolia jeans with a crewneck sweatshirt like she did for rehearsals to spinning a cheeky twist on her modest occasion dresses, there’s something here for everyone. Whether you’re a casual Swiftie who likes to curl up with your cats, a professional Swiftie running to the office, or a busy Swiftie with a calendar full of nights out, scroll to find your next Taylor-inspired getup.

Swift has lately showcased an affinity for oversize sweatshirts and baggy denim, particularly in her “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” video, where we saw her in a pair of Magnolia Pearl patchwork jeans. The brand has been dressing Swift since her Folklore/Evermore era, where she first debuted their flowy lace dresses. The “ICDIWABH” vibe, however, is decidedly more casual.

After Swift shared an October 18 Reel of herself walking through a stadium with her cat, Olivia Benson, I was instantly hooked on her “mom”-leaning aesthetic that somehow felt more put together than athleisure-like. With the addition of sleek cat-eye sunglasses, a red lip, and even heels, rather than sneakers, Swift makes a deliberate case for boss lady in her comfort zone.

My Magnolia Pearl jeans — replete with bouquets and cat graphics all over them — couldn’t be more fitting. A cinched belt, slingback mules, and similar sunglasses to Swift’s were all I needed to establish an ‘80s moment like hers.

Plaid Matching Set

It’s no secret that a checked two-piece is Swift’s outfit formula this fall. She’s been pulling from brands like Versace, Vivienne Westwood, and Carolina Herrera to achieve sophistication and polish with a sexy slip of skin here and there. Swift tends to break up her co-ords with a plain top or bodysuit, and either opts for platform loafers or knee-high boots. While there’s a slight schoolgirl tinge to these moments, they feel decidedly more mature than the pleated skater skirts we saw her in previously.

The soft brown plaid print on this VRG GRL set felt both reflective of fall and perfectly in tandem with Swift’s direction toward the classic two-piece. I also chose a pair of gold basket weave earrings for their refined elegance, rather than hoops, which would have felt a touch more edgy.

Layered Corset Dress

Swift’s Victorian-leaning looks — all nods to “The Tortured Poets Department” era — have been some of my favorite to date. She seems to have pulled a large chunk of this wardrobe from the Vivienne Westwood playbook (see: this Sunday striped cotton dress and the blue version she layered over the brand’s tartan corset months before). My outfit is a take on the latter ensemble — I added dimension to this V-Neck Linen Dress by wearing a tie-front Peppermayo bustier backwards, to reveal more of its print, and finished with a modest Sofia Tsereteli A-line dress layered on top. Of course, the heart-shaped bag was a direct homage to Swift’s Westwood heart crossbody, albeit for a small fraction of the price. I swapped sandals for closed-toe mules to make this outfit more seasonally appropriate, but I think adding a glamorous red fur coat would make things even more romantic.
