I’ve been a fan of Harry’s ever since an ex turned me on to their iconic shave sets. The high quality of their razors made me switch over to using men’s razors and I never looked back. Since taking over the men’s razor market, Harry’s has expanded into everything from lip balm to under eye treatments. As soon as I heard that Harry’s had moved into the skincare space and had launched a lip balm that’s gone viral, I knew I had to try their new products for myself – and gift a few of them to the men in my life.
As a beauty editor, I test a lot of products, and it’s rare to even see a men’s skincare line, let alone be blown away by it. More often than not, I’m explaining the ins and outs of Korean beauty products to my guy friends, not the other way around. But since sharing Harry’s products with the men in my life, I’m suddenly surrounded by bona fide skincare experts, telling me about the benefits of balancing your skin pH and meadowfoam oil. I decided to put two of Harry’s most popular products to the test, and see for myself whether they were worth the hype.

Long-lasting Benefits
One of my biggest gripes with lip balms is that they require frequent application. I like to travel light and hate adding another thing to my list of things to grab out the door, so I’m always on the lookout for lip products that are long-lasting. Harry’s Black Lip Balm kept my lips hydrated throughout the day after a single application, meaning one less thing to carry with me.

High Tech Hydration
True to its name, the Black Lip Balm looks black before application, but when you put it on it appears natural and matte – way more subtle than your average glossy lip balm or lip oil. It honestly felt like a magic trick. The skincare scientists over at Harry’s have figured out a way to have the lip balm react to your skin’s pH, making them look naturally healthy and moisturized without being overly shiny.
Chic Packaging
That being said, the Harry’s packaging for their Black Lip Balm is honestly so sleek and cool looking that I found myself wanting to show it off – I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a lip product in a black tube before. I hate having products around with loud branding, so the fact that Harry’s packaging is sleek and subtle was a major plus for me.
High Quality Ingredients & Solid Price Point
Harry’s entire line of products has super high quality ingredients and packaging materials, so I wasn’t surprised to see them using some pretty cutting edge technology in their lip balm. What shocked me was the price – at only $20 for a 2 pack, the Harry’s balm is way cheaper than similarly high quality products like the Kiehl’s Lip Balm that I’ve been using for years. The balm is available in packs of 2 for $20, 3 for $27, and 4 for $32, making it easy to stock up and save. Meadowfoam oil, fatty acids, and antioxidants are all components that help reduce skin dryness over time, attacking chapped lips at the source rather than just treating the symptoms. The balm felt hydrating and soothing as soon as I applied it. I was really happy to see that Harry’s uses vegan and cruelty free ingredients so I felt comfortable using it every day knowing that the balm’s ingredients were ethically sourced – something I’m really happy more brands are making a priority!
Bonus: A Cure for Tired Eyes??
My biggest skincare issue is having a puffy face in the morning. The only at-home solution I’ve found to treat tired, puffy eyes and dark circles is the cold: a cold shower, cold plunge, cryowands, you name it, I’ve tried it. So Harry’s Cooling Eye Kit immediately caught my …eye…
Instant Relief
Harry’s recommends putting their Cooling Eye Kit in the fridge, so I threw it in my crisper drawer before bed to test in the morning. After waking up the next day, I applied the Cooling Eye Stick under each eye while I made my morning espresso and it felt like I’d taken a cold plunge – the product’s cooling effect made my eyes instantly felt wide awake. I then gently used the Facial Massage Tool to help depuff and improve blood circulation. Within a few minutes, I could see the difference as the Massage Tool and Eye Stick worked together. The Cooling Eye Stick has menthol derivatives (hence the cooling), as well as caffeine and algae extract for long term benefits.

Advanced Application
Harry’s impressed me once again (!) with their innovative packaging: the Cooling Eye Stick fits perfectly in a hollow inside the weighted zinc Facial Massage Tool, making it easy to store all together in the fridge between uses. I was truly blown away by how cool and sculptural the Facial Massage Tool looked, and I love that this isn’t a case of cool-package-for-cool-packaging’s-sake – its design and materials all have a function, as well as looking cool. The Facial Massage Tool retained the cold and really helped depuff my face. I used it along my cheekbones and jawline like a gua sha tool in addition to gently applying it to the delicate skin around my eyes.
As a Harry’s fan for many years, I was really excited to check out their new skincare offerings. From a one-and-done daily hydrating lip balm to a de-puffing eye treatment that actually works – not to mention their awesome packaging – I’m as impressed by Harry’s skincare products as I’ve been with their iconic shave line. Looks like their Black Lip Balm is yet another Harry’s product that I’ll be stealing from my boyfriend’s bathroom…
