The second Taylor Swift walked onto the football stadium wearing Fazit's gold Temporary Faux Freckles on her face, I knew the brand was about to go viral. While most fans paint their faces with a team’s colors to show off what side they’re repping, Taylor decided to put her spin on things. She opted for the brand’s gold freckles to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s team the Kansas City Chiefs. Obviously, the second we saw them, we knew we had to try them out and see if they were worth the hype.
Since Swift, these gold freckles have even been seen on the likes of Lisa from Blackpink. We also chatted with the brand's cofounders Aliett Buttelman and Nina LaBruna to learn more about the product itself and where they see Fazit going next.
Ahead, you’ll find all the details about the faux freckles and our honest thoughts about whether they’re worth the hype.

About The Brand
We chatted with Aliett Buttelman and Nina LaBruna, Founders of Fazit to learn more about how that idea for the now-viral glitter freckle patches came to me. “We noticed creators using broccoli to stamp faux freckles onto their faces. It sparked the thought—that there must be an easier way to achieve a natural freckle look. We took it a step further, imagining freckles that were metallic and cosmic, and that’s how the idea was born!”
The duo are trying to create a new beauty category of “makeup patches” that are “ sweat-proof, waterproof, long-lasting, and can be worn over or under your base makeup for ultimate versatility.”
The Story Behind Taylor Swift
“Taylor chose to wear the gold glitter freckles entirely on her own. We did send a package to her makeup artist, Lorrie Turk, back in May when we first launched, but her wearing them was completely organic,” the brand’s co-founders tell TQE. “We discovered it in real-time, just like the rest of America! A content creator who follows Fazit Beauty on Instagram spotted it first and gave us a heads-up. By the time we turned on the TV, it was already all over our Explore page. It was the most surreal surprise!”
How To Apply
To start the application process, the brand recommends peeling off the backing and placing the patch sticky-side-down onto your face. I try applying right over my nose and cheeks without it coming too much next to my undereyes. Then, I grabbed a wet towel and dabbed the patch for around 60 seconds. The last step is to peel off the patch to reveal the sparkly freckles. The instructions say they’re supposed to last around 24-72 hours and I can vouch that they do last around that time period if you apply it correctly and don’t wash your face.
The Final Results
I surprisingly loved the way they looked on me. Would I wear them everyday? No, I would probably reach for one of the many freckle pens out there but I do love the idea of wearing them to a concert or even a New Years party. The founders created them for “occasion-wear,” and I agree that it’s a quick and effortless way to have fun with your makeup look.
If you’re not sure on exactly where to place them, I would recommend maybe test out placement on your face before making the patches wet to apply. You can also try to cut the strip into three pieces to figure out placements if you’re a little weary about trying it in one go.
