I don’t know about you, but I like to change up my perfume with the season changes. It feels like entering a new era, you know? New season, new scent. That’s why this fall, I’ve been on the hunt for cozy, warm fragrances that’ll carry me into the cooler temperatures.
This is particularly challenging when shopping online, as you’re not able to sniff them pre-purchase. However, I sampled a wide variety of different options and am here to share some of my favorites. Hopefully, based on the descriptions, you’ll find some new perfumes you come to love, too.
Saint Sans is a new brand in the fragrance space, and its standout differentiators are that it’s a US-manufactured brand that uses 30% extracts (three times the concentration of conventional Eau de Toilettes). What’s more: This perfume comes with a story. In the package your fragrance is shipped in, you’ll find a letter walking you through the story that inspired the scent; in this case, one about a brief encounter via passionate eye contact with a stranger.
Brief Encounter is a unisex perfume with notes of jasmine, bergamot, raspberry, violet, amber, musk, and patchouli that strives to capture the feeling of longing. Because of its earthy scent profile, it’s well suited for men or women, but personally, I find it a bit more cologne-oriented, as I associate perfumes with lighter, more floral scent profiles. It’s on the pricier end of the spectrum, but because of its higher concentration, a little goes a long way.

NOYZ is another new brand in the fragrance world, and Love Club was my favorite out of their product lineup as it’s a warm, sexy perfume with notes of saffron, bergamot, pink rose, mandarin, and amber. I asked Malena Higuera, CEO of NOYZ, what was behind the brand’s ethos that inspired a perfume like this one. “Our approach leverages fragrance as a new dimension for self-expression, allowing people to explore and amplify their true selves,” she said. “[Including]—the imperfect, the messy, and the real.”
This is definitely a more feminine scent profile, and you have options around a travel sized, solid, or spray-based perfume, too. If you’d like to sample their offerings before you buy, they also have a discovery kit where you can sample their full product lineup before committing to a full bottle.

Riddle Oil’s Original roll-on perfume is unique because it has been engineered to smell like fresh, clean skin for a more subtle, non-headache-inducing experience for the wearer. With main notes of amber and musk, this pheromone oil adapts to the wearer’s natural scent and smells slightly different on each person, but I loved its coziness and long-lasting wear time I experienced while wearing it.
According to the website, this scent “works with your body's chemistry (hormones, diet, health, genetics, pheromones, etc.) to act as an accelerant to your natural scent.” I found it extremely enjoyable, and still get lots of compliments anytime I wear it.

The minute I put on Vanilla Santal by Alben Lane, I thought of crisp fall nights roasting marshmallows by a fire. It has a nice smokiness, with the warmth and earthiness of vanilla added to round things out. You have options, whether you want a roll-on version, a room spray, or a full-sized perfume bottle. The best part? It’s paraben-free.
Vanilla Santal is a more affordable fall scent, and I found you may need to re-apply the roll-on throughout the day as the scent fades with time. Still, it’s an incredibly inviting scent profile that I found myself reaching for repeatedly. The Santal does add a sort of “hippie-ness” to this perfume, but if you’re into that scent profile, I think you’ll be a big fan.

I’ve been a long-time fan of Glossier’s first fragrance offering (Glossier You), so of course I was excited to try one of their newest perfume roll-outs, You Rêve. They’ve deemed it a “gourmand” fragrance, with notes of warm buttercream, plum butter, almond, and sandalwood; a play on the original Glossier You scent profile.
This is a great fall scent profile that’s both inviting and juicy. It’s also cruelty-free and vegan. A little goes a long way, so you’ll definitely get your money’s worth out of the bottle.
