I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: a great parenting product can make your job as a mom or dad approximately a million times easier. Take traveling, for example: a great stroller will save the day – and a bad stroller will kill the trip in an instant (if the airline doesn’t kill the stroller sooner). As product testers, we get the opportunity to try all kinds of products… some good and some not so good. We believe this means it is our duty to only report the best. So without further adieu, here are our favorite strollers for every family this year… tried and tested by your TQE family!

Best Single Travel Stroller
Use Cases: Travel | Weight/Height Limits: Up to 48 lbs | Number of Kids: 1 | Value: 5/5
If you’re looking for the perfect stroller to travel the world with, meet the gb Pockit stroller. While I wasn’t sure about this one at first, let me just share two important stats: it fits in an airline overhead compartment and even is thin enough to be pushed through an airplane aisle. Say goodbye to watching your stroller be tossed around under a plane and hello to your new little friend. At just $150, your only regret will be not buying this sooner.

Best Double Travel Stroller
Use Cases: Travel | Weight/Height Limits: Up to 50 lbs/seat | Number of Kids: 2 | Value: 4.5/5
Alas, the long-awaited Nuna TRVL dubl is here! I am a total stroller nerd and am on a few Nuna Facebook pages. When the rumors started swirling of this arrival, I was too excited. People love the single trvl and had been asking for it in a double with the same easy fold and compactability… and Nuna listened! It still fits through doorways, is Disney stroller-compliant, and still allows each child to be independently comfortable of the other at different positions.

Best Jogging & Adventure Stroller
Use Cases: Offroad, jogging | Weight/Height Limits: Up to 60 lbs | Number of Kids: 1 | Value: 5/5
If it’s possible to have a crush on a stroller, then I have a crush on Guava Family’s Roam stroller. I never thought I’d need a jogging stroller, but family’s crazy adventures have said otherwise. The suspension on this thing is great – but the compact folding is even better. Contrary to most jogging strollers, the designers truly thought about storage and transport. I’ve considered flying with this stroller… that’s how compact it is. The basket underneath is huge and the included parent organizer holds all my essentials I need to access quickly. We’ve taken this to the zoo, on snow, ice, sand, mud. You name it, this baby can handle it. My only complaint? I’d love to see a double Roam jogger.

Best for More Than 2 Kids
Use Cases: Multiple kids| Weight/Height Limits: 50 lbs/seat (4 seats) or 250 lbs total | Number of Kids: 4 | Value: 5/5
As we are hoping to have more kids, we have been looking into 4-seater wagons. When I found Gladly Family’s 4 seater, I knew it was the one for us. Compared to other brands, it appeared to be much more rugged and a good value all around. Upon getting it, I found this to be true. It is quite rugged and fits our two kids with plenty of room. Even our independent 2-year-old loves riding in it; I think he views it as more “big boy” than a traditional stroller. It compacts pretty well, especially with the wheels off. I also love the easy-access cupholder and storage net off the back.

Best Wagon Upgrade
Use Cases: Multiple kids, daily use | Weight/Height Limits: 99 lbs/bench (2 benches) | Number of Kids: 4 | Value: 4/5
Some friends of ours with 3 kids recently whipped out their Wonderfold at an event we went to together. Let me just say that “Wonderfold” is a totally appropriate name for this thing. They didn’t even have a van or SUV! For a stroller-wagon that can fit up to 4 kids, it does compact very nicely. It is extremely luxurious in looks and in design. My son absolutely loved riding in it with his friends. After pushing (and pulling – it does both) it myself, I was sold. Our editor Julia tried the Wonderfold out – see what she had to say here.

Best Value Stroller
Use Cases: Daily use | Weight/Height Limits: Up to 50 lbs (or 42”) for the stroller seat, or up to 45 lbs in each toddler seat if using them together | Number of Kids: 1-3 | Value: 5/5
For those planning on multiples, I love the Mockingbird – especially for the price. Compared to strollers like the UppaBaby Vista V2 (more on that in a second), it really offers great bang for your buck. With dozens of possible configurations and compatibility with car seats, this is a great option for many families. Add on a rollerboard and you’ve got room for 3 at just $400-some dollars. That’s unbeatable. For more on the Mockingbird, check out my full review!

Best Luxury Stroller
Use Cases: Daily use | Weight/Height Limits: Up to 50 lbs | Number of Kids: 1-3 | Value: 5/5
Many of my friends swear by their UppaBaby Vista V2s – and with good reason. This luxury stroller has it all. From dozens of configuration options to gorgeous color palettes to luxury fabrics, it is a work of art. It is a full-size stroller, meaning you should be prepared to store and travel with a full-size stroller. I love that it comes with the bassinet, a massive basket underneath, and tires that look fit for off-roading. This stroller does it all. Like the Mockingbird, it is able to suit up to 3 children with a riderboard. Though it is an investment, I’ve not met one mom who regrets their UB Vista purchase.

Best Car Seat/Stroller Combination
Use Cases: Infant, travel | Weight/Height Limits: 35 lbs or 32 inches | Number of Kids: 1 | Value: 4/5
Since having baby #2, we’ve flown 3 times, each with the Doona carseat-stroller combo. I honestly can’t fathom what it would’ve been like to travel without it. Pushing our baby through the airport, being able to easily collapse it, and use it base-free in Ubers and taxis was priceless. Our son is so comfortable in the seat and absolutely ate up being pushed all over New York on a recent trip. My only complaint is that it is extremely heavy, especially when your baby gets bigger. That sounds like no big deal when you have a 7 lb newborn, but when you’re lifting your 20+ lb baby in and out of your car and inside… that becomes a lot. Our editor Aliza also tried the Doona: read her thoughts here.

Best Travel System
Use Cases: Daily use | Weight/Height Limits: Up to 50 lbs/seat | Number of Kids: 1-2 | Value: 4/5
I know what you’re thinking: Nuna again? And to that I say yes, Nuna again. Our “daily driver” is the Nuna DEMI next around here. When our now-7-month-old came around, we needed a double stroller – on the double. Nuna’s newer DEMI next + PIPA urbn travel system was the best fit for us because of its configurability and long-lasting materials. We used to put the newborn on top in his PIPA urbn car seat (which is totally baseless by the way – it is amazing to not have to haul that around) and our toddler on the bottom in the toddler seat.
Most days now, we have our toddler on the included riderboard and our baby on the top in the toddler seat. We take it to the zoo, on walks around the neighborhood, and to grandma’s house. It is luxurious, easy to fold, and just feels darn good to push. I’ll stop gushing now – but if you want to read more, check out my full review here.
