As a parent, I know how important it is to find the right supplements for our kids. Between school, sports, playdates, and picky-eating, ensuring they get the nutrients they need can feel like a full-time job. That’s why I’ve been on a mission to find a kids’ supplement that checks all the boxes: high-quality ingredients, great taste, rigorous safety testing, and affordability.
Two brands that stood out in my search were Beam Kids All-in-One Superpowder and Grüns Cubs Gummies – but how do they compare? Let’s break it down…

Ingredients & Nutritional Value
A solid kids’ supplement should cover all the essential nutrients growing bodies need. Here’s how these two brands stack up.
- Beam Kids: Beam Kids is a true all-in-one supplement, packing over 40 essential ingredients, including greens, fruit, prebiotics, probiotics, fiber, vitamins, and minerals. It’s designed to support growth, immunity, digestion, brain function, and energy levels. It’s also made with 85% less sugar than other low sugar gummies (with only 1g!). Plus, it was developed with gold medalist & mom Shawn Johnson, her pediatrician, and the experts at Beam to ensure it meets high standards.
- Grüns Cubs: Grüns Cubs offers a comprehensive blend of 20+ vitamins and minerals, including Vitamin A, B-complex, C, D3, E, K2, biotin, zinc, and iron (they lack pre and probiotics, though). It’s also worth noting that Grüns’ low sugar option contains 7g of sugar, compared to Beam’s 1g.
Winner: Tie

Taste & Kid Approval
If kids won’t eat (or drink) it, it doesn’t matter how good the ingredients are…
- Beam Kids: Beam tastes like chocolate milk, and my kids genuinely love it. They ask for it daily (yes, they remind me when it’s time to take it) and they’re convinced it’s a treat. That’s what I call a total win.
- Grüns Cubs: Despite being marketed as a better-tasting gummy option, my kids couldn’t get past the taste. To be honest, I thought they were being dramatic so I tried it – and their complaints were totally legitimate. I looked on Amazon, and about a quarter of the reviews were 1-star reviews, specifically for the taste. It seems we’re not alone in feeling this way…
Winner: Beam Kids – chocolate milk flavor for the win!
Safety & Testing
As a parent, I like to know that what I’m giving my kids is safe, pure, and rigorously tested.
- Beam Kids: Beam conducts third-party tests for heavy metals, yeast, mold, and harmful bacteria like Salmonella, E. Coli, and Listeria. It gives me peace of mind to know that Beam manufactures their products in an NSF-certified facility, which means strict safety and quality standards.
- Grüns Cubs: Grüns Cubs also undergoes third-party testing for heavy metals, microbial contaminants, pesticides, and more. Their products are tested for all 21 vitamins and minerals to ensure they meet label claims, and they’re manufactured in NSF, GMP, and FDA-certified facilities.
Winner: Tie – both brands prioritize safety and rigorous testing.
Allergen-Friendly?
Food allergies are a serious concern, so I always check for common allergens.
- Beam Kids: Free from milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, peanuts, tree nuts, soybeans, and sesame, Beam is also gluten-free and manufactured in an NSF-certified facility with strict allergen control procedures to prevent cross-contamination. Beam also conducts third-party testing to ensure it’s completely peanut-free.
- Grüns Cubs: Grüns is free from gluten, dairy, and nuts – plus it’s plant-based and vegan. The gummies use tapioca fiber and pectin instead of gelatin, making them a great option for plant-based families.
Winner: Beam Kids – both are great options, but Beam’s extra allergen testing gives me extra peace of mind.
Cost & Value
Price matters, especially when buying for multiple kids.
- Beam Kids: At $55 per month for one kid, Beam is not cheap. They do offer a pretty sweet deal (30% off) if you subscribe (which comes out to $38.50/month for one kid). And, the price goes down as you subscribe for multiple kids: $36.75/kid with 2 kids, $35/kid with 3 kids, and $33.25/kid for 4 kids. On top of that, you can get 35% off with code TQEKIDS – and your order comes with a free frother and kids cup!
- Grüns Cubs: Without a subscription, Grüns is $66.99 for one kid. If you subscribe, you can save 25% (making it $50.24 per month for one kid). To purchase for multiple kids, Grüns is $49.24/kid for 2 kids, $48.74/kid for 3 kids, and $48.24 per kid for 4 kids.
Winner: Beam Kids – both options are premium, but Beam offers better nutrients and taste, plus it’s more cost effective!

Final Verdict: Beam For The Win!
As a mom, I want a supplement that’s comprehensive, safe, allergen-friendly, and something my kids will actually enjoy. While Grüns Cubs is a solid option with a strong ingredient list, Beam Kids wins out for me. It offers nutritional benefits (including probiotics and greens), a taste kids love, rigorous safety testing, and a better subscription price.
If you’re looking for an easy, all-in-one kids’ supplement that doesn’t feel like a battle at breakfast, Beam Kids is the way to go.
