Close your eyes and imagine the most beautiful man you can think of. I guarantee 99% of you thought of Brad Pitt. Rightfully so! There really is no one cooler, hotter, and more effortlessly attractive than Mr. Moneyball himself. He embodies a magnetic allure, a cool charisma that transcends time, and – yes, let’s be honest – an insanely hot face that has aged like a fine, fiiiine wine. So, when news broke that Brad was launching a genderless skincare line, Le Domaine – promising to reveal the secrets to achieving Pitt-level luminosity – I had to try it!

As a mere mortal in the realm of skincare, I embarked on this journey, half-hoping his products would sprinkle some movie-star-dust onto my daily routine (and onto my non-movie-star face.) Little did I know that my experience with Le Domaine would be more than just a rendezvous with another celebrity-endorsed skin care line—it was the moment my skin entered a new realm of gorgeousness I had only thought possible in the movies. In layman’s terms, this stuff really works!

We like

  • High-quality formula: Potent combo of top-shelf ingredients targeting skincare concerns like anti-aging and hydration
  • Environmentally conscious: Packing and product made almost entirely of recyclable products
  • Vegan and Natural: Composed of natural ingredients without silicones or parabens
  • Elegant packaging: High-quality recycled glass packaging with chic oak stopper caps
  • Versatile range: Offers options for different skin textures, from rich creams to lighter alternatives

We don't like

  • High price point: The cost of products might be a bit steep for certain customers – myself included
  • Exclusivity: The brand's limited availability might make it challenging for consumers to access products
  • Scent sensitivity: The scent may not appeal to those sensitive to perfume-ey fragrances

BORN ON THE VINEYARD

The idea for Le Domaine sprouted from an existing partnership between Pitt and The Perrin Family. The Perrins have been producing wine at the famed Château de Beaucastel in the South of France since 1909. Located near the village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape in the Rhône Valley, the storied estate has been a pioneer in biodynamic winemaking for decades. In 2008, Pitt acquired the winery and collaborated with Marc Perrin, a fifth-generation vintner and co-founder of Le Domaine, to explore innovative uses for grape pomace (aka the residue that originates from winemaking consisting of stems, skins and seeds – don’t worry, I didn’t know what it meant at first either). Pitt and Perrin realized they could use the grape pomace, combined with a variety of other natural compounds and ingredients, to create a skincare line with one simple purpose: slow down the signs of aging.

SLOW DOWN THE SIGNS OF AGING

Le Domaine was born out of a respect for nature, an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to utilize organic, all-natural ingredients. On top of all that, Pitt and Perrin had a vision of creating a range of cosmetics that would have a smaller impact on the planet. Pitt, who is already a big fan of architecture and design, immediately embraced the idea of upcycling oak wood from wine barrels to create Le Domaine’s unique packaging. Together with a designer and a local artisan from the area, they worked to create a unique cap for their jars and bottles. Each piece is individually carved and impeccably chic.

FOUR SIMPLE AND EFFECTIVE PRODUCTS

Le Domaine keeps it simple and effective, essentially offering only four major products – all boasting 100% vegan ingredients free from silicones, parabens, and other synthetic additives. In other words, this stuff is as clean and pure as Brad Pitt’s diet leading up to his perpetually-shirtless role in “Fight Club.”

First and foremost, The Serum, their flagship offering, priced at $385 for a 1 oz pump bottle, combines grapevine plant stem cells, hydrating grape water, and hyaluronic acids, promising reduced wrinkles and an intensive plumping effect, delivering anti-aging benefits within 28 days.

Next up we’ve got The Cream, priced at $320 for a 1.7 oz jar which is infused with organic olive oil, shea butter, grape water, and an ayurvedic plant extract. This product is a favorite of Pitt's, leaving skin smoother, firmer, and more radiant, offering enhanced comfort even under the hottest of California suns. The alternative, The Fluid Cream, available for $310, caters to those seeking a slightly lighter, less oily texture.

Completing the lineup is The Cleansing Emulsion, priced at $80 for a 3.4 oz bottle. This gentle, efficient daily wash cleanses and hydrates the skin, leaving it supple and revitalized. Used each morning to awaken your complexion and set the stage for a radiant day, as well as each evening before a blissful night's rest, it offers a purifying, gentle, sensorial and indulging experience.

If you’re looking to go the whole nine yards (and have the money to do so), The Complete Routine offers Le Domaine’s three-step ritual for anywhere between $475 and $535 depending on if you choose the Essential vs. Luxury Collection. (The only real difference is the Luxury Collection is presented in a bougie box set with their signature finely hand-polished oak caps. I’d personally go with the Essential Collection if you’re looking to save some money vs. the Luxury Collection if you’re gifting / ballin’ out of control.)

MOVIE STAR QUALITY SKINCARE

I’m going be fully transparent: I have always been a bit skeptical of celebrity-endorsed beauty products. My concern comes from the suspicion that many celebrities will willy-nilly slap their name on something just to bring in a little extra scratch and help pay the mortgage on their second (or third) home. My suspicion was quelled slightly when I read a quote from Pitt on the Le Domaine website: “If I hadn’t seen a real difference visually in my skin, we wouldn’t have bothered.” His confidence in the product gave me the confidence to give Le Domaine an honest shot. After about two weeks, I could visibly see a difference in my skin. It was brighter, tighter and clearer. My fiancee commented that I looked more alert and less-tired. (This hurt just a bit. Was I walking around looking like a sleep-deprived zombie before I started using Le Domaine?)  After six weeks of using Le Domaine’s products as directed, I emerged with glowing, radiant Brad Pitt-like skin. (Unfortunately, I did not also get his jawline. A man can dream!)

In keeping with my promise of full-transparency, let’s talk about Le Domaine’s price. I don’t think I’m alone in saying that the price point is pretty steep. But despite the lofty price tag, the brand's emphasis on quality ingredients, sustainability, and its gender-neutral positioning sets a new standard in the beauty industry. All to say, if you’ve got some wiggle room in your budget – and want to Benjamin Button your skin – I’d definitely give Le Domaine a shot. Good work, Brad. You’ve done it again, you gorgeous man you.
